I know I'm not as much of a regular as I used to be (and would like to be if life didn't get in the way!) but thought I'd start the new thread as I know @EllaPaella often ends up needing to do it so thought she might want a break, and I had a spare 5 mins and would hate to lose you all!

@toucaninjapan - isn’t leather meant to give with wear? On that basis, I’d say that they’re probably supposed to feel a little bit tight when new. (Disclaimer: I have never owned a pair of leather trousers).

I’d wear burgundy with the bright pink jumpsuit @toastfiend. Although I can’t recall seeing anything of late and I totally agree that many blouses are over-ruffled at the moment!

I’m not due back at work until next week, so currently wandering around in casual clothes. Thus feels odd now that DS is back at school.

@Sooverthemill and @EnoBaby I'd have thought for someone who has never picked up knitting needles and doesn't know how to knit the idea of knitting a whole jumper is just too much of a task, as you said you started off small and moved on to bigger, so while trying to figure out how to stitch, learning the basics something smaller, be easier and to be quite honest less daunting! Then you move onto more trying tasks! Anything you first knit gives you a buzz of self achievement whatever it is! It's soo satisfying 😌

My boots arrived and unfortunately I love them, so they not going back. You’ll have to prise them off my cold, dead feet, lol. Boots Terry de Havilland. Dress is just what I had on earlier, a wee number from EMP.

Cosy and comfortable today in Topshop trousers, Hollister sweater, Converse and lovely, soft scarf.

Ah I did @Puddinandpie it I was 7! And a proper jumper ages 15 was perfect. I honestly don’t think it’s daunting to start a full size object and since then I’ve never knitted anything small like toys or scarves.. But we are all different

The Me+Em jumpsuit arrived and I'm so disappointed with it! I've been coveting it since seeing it in-store a couple of months ago, but the reality of it on is very disappointing. It's an absolutely amazing colour, so bright and eye-catching, but the cut and fit are all wrong. It's got such a long body the crotch is ultra low on anyone average height, so it looks like I'm wearing a nappy, plus it's too loose, but when it's belted it just looks really frumpy (sorry, I know Mumsnet hates that word, but it is most applicable in this case!) Anyway, sending it back and sticking with a Zara sale purchase for the party tomorrow, it looks like, as the Reiss dress hasn't even been dispatched yet - annoying as I paid for guaranteed delivery.

New boilersuit today - pleased I kept it as it's very comfy and easy to chuck on.

I think it looks good @toastfiend! I always have the opposite problem with jumpsuits and find the crotch is annoyingly high, I think I must have a long body and short legs.

I don't post on this thread but I drop in to read but I wanted to say how much I love all of you for sharing your outfits. It's inspired me to put my clothes together in a different way.

ill health ( hopefully temporarily) and so I’ve bought 3 new pairs in sales to tide me over

Those jeans look great @Sooverthemill. You're good at denim; I don't get on well with jeans since my second baby - my hips got even wider but my waist stayed small.

Just another variation of this week's theme: wide leg trousers from Topshop when it was actually Topshop, Hollister cropped sweater, Converse Lift.

I think I just wore so many skirts and dresses over Christmas that I want to be mensy for a while now.

Out for dinner. Wearing the wrong boots but I didn’t have time to change and anyway who will notice but I’m going to sell. Celebrating the fact we think we’ve found the perfect house. Need to market ours FAST and sell everything we can to raise a few extra pounds to pay all the bloody fees
