I know I'm not as much of a regular as I used to be (and would like to be if life didn't get in the way!) but thought I'd start the new thread as I know @EllaPaella often ends up needing to do it so thought she might want a break, and I had a spare 5 mins and would hate to lose you all!

Sorry sealed up and by the front door to post tomorrow. They fit fine but I just wasn’t feeling it!

Wore some of the clothes I got for Christmas today. Sweater and cords are both from Emily and Fin. New black tooled leather belt from Village Leathers - I will definitely be buying more of their belts. Last year's custom Converse - might get a new pair in Spring.

Had last holiday day out with our little ones today - ready for back to work tomorrow!

@OublietteBravo I'm not gonna be any help because you defo need them at 36 quid there a bargain! And they look fab, just conjure up a place that you can wear them, wear them at home, wherever you need them! Sorry! 😇

I'm in full blown cleaning mode, have stopped for a cuppa but look like utter shite so no pics again! I need to get my game on, but I'm just not feeling it, plus endo playing up so just feel crap, I'll be OK by next week when I have lost Xmas weight (fasting)

I don't really understand the mentality of repeatedly calling Mumsnet a "toxic cesspit", claiming this as one of the many reasons they hate it, then targeting a thread that is, for the most part, a nice, supportive community, specifically to gleefully mock and rip the shit out of regular posters - people who have never met them, never done anything to harm them, and haven't done anything more offensive than post, or be complimentary about, outfits they don't like and/or who buy brands they consider to be overpriced. It just seems like pretty toxic behaviour in itself.

The pink sequins are amazing @OublietteBravo, for £36 I'd go for it, everyone should have items in their wardrobe that aren't necessarily practical but do make them smile!

I’ve name changed, and will do again because I’m a coward. But it’s really quite a good lesson (for me at least) about posting on the internet. It’s a shame that people feel the need to be nasty but it’s human nature and from now on I aim to shield myself.

@countrypunk they looked fine actually not ultra skinny and I'd bought because I too had hankered after them. But in fact I couldn't find 5 outfits I'd make from them so they went ( well, are by the front door). I'd also returned a much more expensive pair of baukjen Leather trousers which were the loveliest leather but the shale was wrong on me. I will continue a search I think for leather trousers (me and em have a pair and if I return almost all the sale stuff from them that didn't work out on real life I may invest in those.). I've wanted real leather trousers for many many years . My vegan daughter will be appalled

Today's the last day of the New Year holidays. 😔
We went to pick up DD's lucky/mystery bag containing random clothes with her favorite character on them.
Last year I bought another lucky bag for DD from a pricy Japanese brand, and the clothes inside were worth 3 times more than the price of the lucky bag (which is not a very good ratio for a lucky bag, but DD absolutely loved everything, especially the coat). I wanted to buy the same lucky bag this year, but the brand has raised the price by approximately £35 without changing the amount of things inside the bag, so I decided it’s not worth it and went for DD’s favorite character’s lucky bag instead. I’m quite happy with what we’ve got and the final discount is huge, the whole bag costed like 2 leggings they sell in their store!
2nd photo shows what was in our bag and 3rd photo shows what some other person who bought the same lucky bag in the same size got. MIL’s also bought a lucky bag for DD from another brand, I wonder what’s there! 🤩
DH has bought himself a small lucky bag from his favorite jewellery store, I liked what he got so we tried to get one for me too, but it was all sold out already of course.

@Puddinandpie we are contemplating a move. It’s tricky as we have a great support network here but our house isn’t quite right for DD and we think she could have more independence if we moved to a different configuration. The beautiful house we visited yesterday had an annexe used for Airbnb and it could possibly work but we would need to do a lot of work to upgrade it to meet her needs. It was a beautiful 17th century cottage with almost an acre of land. I adore it but the main house wouldn’t be suitable and the annexe wouldn’t be right from day 1 which I think is what we need. There’s no rush. I’m trying to avoid a bungalow!

I really don’t care what people think of my clothes. I walk around in them all day, and I’m sure the majority of people don’t even give me a second glance. I enjoy what I wear. And I like seeing what the rest of you are wearing.

Looking chic (as always) @toucaninjapan - I love both the skirt and the hat. It’s a shame people don’t routinely wear hats nowadays.

@Sooverthemill well that sounds exciting, I grew up in a bungalow, then my mum went and morphed it into the monstrosity it is today, loft conversion, enormous extension and fake marble literally everywhere even in the living room, I've been up their once out of my entire adultife after it was all done, it made my eyes hurt to say the least, sad thing was, it was a cute bungalow when it was just a bungalow (shame about the people in it)😒
