I know I'm not as much of a regular as I used to be (and would like to be if life didn't get in the way!) but thought I'd start the new thread as I know @EllaPaella often ends up needing to do it so thought she might want a break, and I had a spare 5 mins and would hate to lose you all!

We’re back to rain again today. I really don’t enjoy the British winter. Perhaps I should emigrate… On the plus side, our roof has been fixed, so we no longer have water dripping through the ceiling in the spare room.

Vivienne Westwood high tops as a tribute. She was my favourite designer by quite some margin. Harem pants are old but faithful from Michael Kors. The top is from M&S and I cut the collar/neck off to make a more scooped shape! Doggies are as usual, my shadows! Pic also of new baby yoda socks after PurplecatDog Junior savaged my other pair!

Did a spot of sales shopping with my Mum yesterday. Not masses out there but got some nice black, cigarette jeans from Anthropologie, a pair of chunky black boots from H&M that I've had my eye on for a while and were reduced to £20, and some fab metallic green chunky heels from M&S that look a bit like some Esska ones I tried in Anthropologie but were only £12 so I am pretty happy with that bargain!

Cold has turned into a sinus infection, which I'm pretty unimpressed with. Sudafed makes me nauseous so now I get to pick between feeling like my face will explode or my stomach churning wildly. Have given in and taken some as the pressure was getting to be unbearable earlier. I rarely get ill but we seem to have had every respiratory virus going since having Covid.

Earrings - best friend's shop, they're really delicate gold and silver leaves and were a Christmas pressie. I love them.

Also, do I buy this denim jumpsuit? Tried it on in House of Fraser yesterday. Didn't buy it as it was still pretty pricey but realised I have a voucher that would take it down to £19 if I use it and it's still in stock online. I've been wanting one for a while but not sure if I'd prefer one that's a bit more fitted. I do like the zip front, though.

Took some pictures when I went out over the last few evenings but they were all blurry as I took them hastily whilst being ushered out of the door 🤣

Who on here is on the shorter side?

I'm only 5'1 and I'm getting really despondent over trousers right now.

Over the last few weeks I've trued so many Euro high street brands (Bershka, Pull & Bear, etc) that have massively disappointed in terms of fabric and cut, and therefore been sent back.

There are so few decent brands that offer petite/short length, well-cut trousers nowadays.

So, if you're shorter than average - where on earth are you buying wide leg and tapered trousers?

Every pair of Boden trousers I've bought, I've merely settled for and then ended up donating or (more recently) re-selling. It's just not for me.

I've used to love Banana Republic but they no longer sell outside the U.S.

I'm just going to have to get everything tailored from now on, which will be a pain but hopefully worth it.

@EnoBaby I'm 5'1' so share your frustration on trousers, particularly as I love the wider leg styles. I tend to look for ankle/cropped/culotte styles as these tend to work well on me as full length. I'm also really liking M&S's Me&Em style wide joggers with the stripe down the side (I think @EllaPaella has a pair?),which they do as a shorter leg and I'm liking a few of their other styles as well. I'm loath to spend ££ in shops like Cos and Stories and then have to pay more to get them altered. Boden also do a petite range which is worth looking at.

Last party outfit for this festive season (tomorrow will be pyjamas, a takeaway and a bottle of fizz in front of the TV).

@EnoBaby I'm 5'1and a half. I buy from Wrap, Boden, Sézane, j crew, grace & mila and hush. But tbh I don't have many 'trousers' because of my height. Zalando is good for US brands and returns are easy. But I think my height is why I favour jeans

Another day in and outfit with addition of the jumper I finished knitting last night. It needs blocking and ends sewing in. I like it! Shame it’s got quite warm!

There is such a fine line between my office wear and normal clothes these days. I’m sure I’ve worn this outfit to the office, and yet here I am wearing it on a grey Saturday!

I am paying another tribute to the amazing Dame Vivienne today, with her pirate boots. Layering an ivory American Vintage dress with a grey Forgotten Tribes over the top. PurplecatDog Senior is in his Ukrainian jammies as you can see!

@WoollyHooligan I absolutely love your mushroom dress, did you get it from disturbia? What is the sizing like I always look and love loads of their items but not sure on sizing?
