Glad you had a good day @Puddinandpie even when I was nursing I've never been able to move Christmas day it just feels to wrong although we only did on call and actually boxing day was always the worst everyone saved their heart attacks for then, I once did 6 emergency stent cases on one boxing day every time we got home another call came through!

@Puddinandpie these are some beautiful cafes! We have a cafe here that looks similar to the first one you named, it's really lovely!

I’ve received another letter from the City Hall today that our request for nursery transfer in January had to be declined again due to the lack of open slots. I don’t have much hope for February and March too, but there is a chance to get transferred in April. Hopefully it’s just 3 more months of dreadful nursery runs with the sling (and boring outfits for the most part of the week, ‘cause I can’t wear anything nice on weekdays).

We had a good day but didn’t really find anything for DD sadly. I got this cashmere jumper from Autograph in M&S which are so much nicer in real live. I sized up. We had a delicious lunch ( the best pasta ever) and mooched a bit. But it took an hour to get out of the car park which was super stressful as we were an hour and a half late getting home though everyone said it was okay it was tough as we had no phone signal underground.

@toucaninjapan I've got @Sooverthemill to thank in some part for that. I did yoga before but through a lovely series of yoga threads she had started doing move with Adrienne on YouTube every day. Been doing it daily since Feb and I'm like a real yoga person now - much to my surprise!

And @toucaninjapan I absolutely love your outfit - the blue and grey work so well.

@Sickoffamilydrama that sounds like an absolute nightmare, I was a bit worried a couple of days before we had our Xmas that it wouldn't feel xmassy but then everything started slotting into place and feeling super xmassy, I dont think it matters aslong as you are with the people you love, and the dc always make it mental and exciting 😁

@Sickoffamilydrama that's my experience- with my mum - every Christmas or the day after there is a health scare - I can almost set my watch by it. Great red outfit.

@WoollyHooligan and @Puddinandpie I've give up on slippers as I have a terrible habit of chancing it to let the dog out/put the bins out even though I know I regret it.

I now keep a pair of DDs old crocs at the back and front door and wear extra socks.

If I remember when I get back I will take a photo of todays outfit. I am literally covered in mud. Bloody horses. Spooking at... rain ffs when I'm carrying the worlds muddiest rug. Thanks!

@Purplecatshopaholic days like today I'm bet you are glad no more horses! Other people at the yard seem to stay looking presentable. I look like a swamp monster.

Got a cheesy Christmas dinner tonight- supposed to be Christmas jumpers but I can't find my brilliantly terrible one so I've improvised with sequins and decorations

I absolutely rinsed my 11yo DD and her friends at twister this week. In your face youth.

Love M&S cashmere @Sooverthemill , it really is the best. I'm still gutted that I ruined a beautiful camel jumper earlier this year by throwing curry down it - stupid thing to do and it was one I wore all the time, I must get round to replacing it.

Ready for a last minute dash into town for presents and food shopping but also going for lunch with adult DS which will be lovely.

Nipped out for a few things, and for some reason chucked on some leggings - not worn leggings for yonks, lol. Leggings from Spanx, jumper is Baukjen, boots from Top Shop.
