I know I'm not as much of a regular as I used to be (and would like to be if life didn't get in the way!) but thought I'd start the new thread as I know @EllaPaella often ends up needing to do it so thought she might want a break, and I had a spare 5 mins and would hate to lose you all!

@Puddinandpie I've got the energy to go back to the thread after you posted those beautiful Christmas photos! So festive, your children must absolutely love all these wonderful decorations. Also I'm forever jealous of that stained glass door of yours. 😁

This week has been crazy, everyone's been sick (we still kind of are) & we've bought some new electrical appliances for the house, including a new fridge, and it turns out the fridge cannot fit through some spot on the stairs, so we will need to pay for the crane to get it through our first floor balcony. Oh these tiny Tokyo houses! 😩

I've received my new coat (again from Sezane - a Christmas present to myself), it looked kind of stiff on the photos, but it's amazingly soft in real life. I've worn it twice so far, once with jeans and once with shorts.

I'm adding a photo of my Joules gloves which I've been loving recently.
The 2nd photo is my nursery run outfit on Friday. I like my Uniqlo teddy coat, it's toasty, it's fluffy and I don't mind ruining it with the sling. Too bad each time I'm wearing it I see somebody else in exactly the same coat. 🙄

Woke up yesterday to the boiler not working but I managed to fix it the condensate pipe was frozen, only problem is the boiler is on the third floor of the house so had to unscrew a pipe, then reset the pressure. I'm not recommending Swinton home emergency cover text them at 9am they responded at 6pm, they would send someone on Wednesday!

so we had our Xmas day today and it has been a really lovely, magical day, the kids went mental this morning opening loads of pressies the bedroom looked like a sea of wrapping paper! But didn't take too long to tidy thank god! Thanks everyone for the decor love

Ladies, does anyone remember when Boden does 25%~30% discounts for their new collection around this time of the year? I saw sth I like a lot from their new season's collection, but not quite ready to pay the full price. ⚓️

@Puddinandpie thank you! That's Ladurée, I think they have several cafes in London. Did you ever go there? I'm sure you'll love how they are designed!
They have the cutest cakes and macarons (see first photo) and their coffee is quite good. We went there on Thursday with DH, and after enjoying our desserts we felt the need to "walk it out", ended up walking 23+ thousand steps (which tbh didn't feel like much at the moment) and the next day I woke up completely sick. :( I took it as a life lesson that sometimes you need to just enjoy your sweets without worrying how to burn off the calories afterwards. 😁

I've made an effort to change my shoes today, I usually do the nursery runs in my trainers, but today I've digged up some old boots to add a bit of sparkle to my outfit.

No post yesterday but I just wore the same as Saturday. It was just such a busy day decorating and cooking for first night of Hanukkah and our dinner all together. It was nice as we all ate up in DDs room which she really loves when we do. And all the candles ( mainly battery operated!) made it cosy.

DH is now on annual leave for 3 weeks. Watch out for murdered husband headlines from Suffolk! He cannot relax and has to be doing something constantly and I don’t have time to entertain him given that I’m looking after DD pretty much 24/7. Tomorrow we have a day out planned as DS offered to be here so we could go and choose a new MacBook for DHs Christmas present. And I plan to shop! Actual shops! Stuff I can touch! Can’t wait. This assumes DD remains stable of course

Wow, from -8 to 11 in a couple of days! Go figure. Doggies are happier anyway! Off shopping in a minute. Cream dress from Good American with All Saints slip dress under it, and All Saints cardigan over it. Boots from Phillip Lim. Will only need a thin coat today I think, and yet was bundled up like a Michelin man at the weekend!

Not posted for a few days as the outfits have largely consisted on fleeces and joggers to try and keep warm, now trying to motivate myself to get back into the habit of something resembling proper clothes. Been following and everyone looks great.

@toucaninjapan I absolutely agree sometimes you just have to say sod it and enjoy the little things in life, laduree looks amazing I have never been and I'm not sure why, I'm a regular at Saint aymes and I do love Peggy porschen, just a beautiful place to be, but now I'm going to have to go to laduree and eat cake (any old excuse🤭)

I’m a bit lost on how warm my outfits need to be after the sudden change in weather. I’m currently wondering if even a thin jumper was a mistake. It’s surprisingly warm in the office!

It is warm isn’t it? I got changed 4 times this morning while checking the weather. We are going out for the day to Norwich which is so deeply exciting to me that I know I need to get a life ( no chance). DS and his GF are coming to look after DD animals and take in all the parcels that have suddenly decided to turn up today.
wearing new sparkly jumper from Wyse ( sale) which im pleased with. Kind of want sequins but I won’t buy because of the environmental impact ( only purchase ever was in 1974 when I got a fiorucci denim jacket with a sequin dragon on the back which I deeply regret getting rid of in the 80s). I’d get second hand if I saw though I guess

boots Boden and my trusty rino and pello coat on top. Going to look for new wallet, black handbag and the trip is to get a new MacBook Pro for DH as his old one has almost fallen part ( held together with duct tape)!
will also look for something for DD but she’s so hard to buy for as she doesn’t wear clothes jewellery or eat really. No perfume of make up or other smelliest. It’s always just books she wants!
@Puddinandpie that sounds nice hut my DH and I are polar opposites. Im
basically an introvert, he’s extremely extrovert and also has ADHD. I like seeing people but need to decompress afterwards and need alone time. Given that 90% of my waking day is spent with DD looking after her I need that time out. Where’s he’s a 2 year old saying ‘what next’ every five minutes. When we both worked it was fine. Less so now i’m always here and he WFH
all the time. If he retired I honestly think we would have to live in separate houses. I would LOVE that!

Aww @Shannith, your outfit yesterday took me back! I had horses when younger and spent my teenage years in almost that exact outfit - loved my Dubarrys! Always felt mucking out stables in the freezing cold before school instilled a certain work ethic and recognition of the importance of putting your pets before yourself! Lol. You rock the look way better than I did btw

This dress is one of my faves - from Nicholas. With Stuart Weitzman boots - also faves. It’s mild here again but v windy. Going to stick a leather jacket over the top.

@WoollyHooligan I go through slippers like no tomorrow too, no matter how hard i try they get ruined one way or another! I did wonder just how good uggs are as trying to justify spending that much on slippers! Are they any good, quality, comfort?
I'm debating on getting dh to buy me another pair of my slippers though because I really like them, otherwise they might go out of stock😁
