just read the word cropped and I thought that’s it.

Maybe second place is high-rise.

Ditsy - to the power of FUCK OFF

GettingStuffed · 08/11/2022 17:44

Spaghetti straps or backless, means I can't wear a bra and at 38 hh I need one

glamourousindierockandroll · 08/11/2022 17:50

Sparklybutold · 08/11/2022 18:01

Wool
Polyester
Cashmere

RampantIvy · 08/11/2022 18:23

My absolute no nos are:
Low rise - fine if you are vertically challenged. I'm not
Cropped - I'm not a teenagere, and I don't want cold ankles at this time of year
Cold should - just no
Bodycon - no way

Am I the only poster who doesn't have a problem with polyester?

Karmatime · 08/11/2022 18:52

Lyocell = creases like crazy and shrinks and goes all stiff after washing.
Is it just another type of viscose??

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 08/11/2022 19:08

Yes Lyocel is another version of viscose. The difference is it’s environmentally friendly.

Tencel/Lyocel are the same thing. They are full of chemicals though.

One size

I'm under 5'. Size 10. No way is one size going to fit me.

Lentilweaver · 08/11/2022 19:29

Oooh ooh: Lagenlook.
And magic trousers.

ZaZathecat · 09/11/2022 00:09

Made from recycled plastic.. a phrase rather than a word but yuk! I feel sweaty just thinking about it!

I bought some cycling leggings from Lidl made from recycled plastic out of sheer curiosity just before lockdown and I love them. I didn't expect that at all. I wear them more than any others, far more expensive ones, that I own.

Stopthechoc · 09/11/2022 07:04

Hand wash!

One size only looks good on the size it actually is, which is usually a size 16. I'm a 12 and they always drown me.

FayCarew · 09/11/2022 09:14

@RampantIvy , I don't mind polyester but it depends what the garment is. I don't like polyester-cotton but fleeces are ok
I can't stand viscose.

TeaAddict235 · 09/11/2022 11:10

Wool
Polyester
Cashmere

Yes, yes and yes to these.

Boiled wool worst of all. Just how does anyone wear these fabrics?

AlannaOfTrebond · 09/11/2022 11:44

Buttery soft in relation to leather.

Whilst I'm sure the product itself is probably lovely it just sounds so fucking wanky.

Because not all of us find wool itchy. Cashmere is lovely and warm.

I’m envious @RampantIvy genuinely.

xogossipgirlxo · 09/11/2022 12:40

Jersey and one size

RampantIvy · 09/11/2022 13:08

However, i realise that a lot of people dislike wool next to the skin @Flyinggeesei234. I don't have a problem with acrylic because I can machine wash it.
