Such a bad shopper- can’t decide

I’m a dreadful shopper. I saw a lovely coat last year in the shop, swivered, ordered it, returned it the then went back and bought it.

I bought this dress, returned it, ordered it via their concierge service and have the label to return it printed out. And yet…

Make my mind up for me lovely stylers…

I vote dreadful 😆

Dox9 · 05/11/2022 22:10

Keep. It's lovely on you. Very timeless too in my opinion.

SkylightSkylight · 05/11/2022 22:11

Let's just say, you have a lovely figure and I wouldn't be wasting it on that dress. £20 from primark, nice enough for a change, but it sounds like it was expensive, so I'd be using the return label..

With you…it looks like a blanket your granny knitted out of all the ends of balls of wool

NiqueNique · 05/11/2022 22:13

Oh I love it and I think you look great in it. Keep!!

Absolutely, millions of dresses that would look fabulous on you, OP.

Etinoxaurus · 05/11/2022 22:16

Thank you all! If it were £20 I’d definitely be keeping it. It’s £220 so back it goes, I will look out for it in the sales though.
I also bought it in navy which is more wearable Smile

I think it's lovely. Striking in a good way. I like the navy too.

NiqueNique · 05/11/2022 22:21

I like the multi-coloured one much more than the navy! Much more interesting.

I love it, but literally no one in the family does 😢
🤞 for the sales

I quite like it but it's just got too much going on - colours / patterns etc. Navy is nice though but quite expensive for being plain.

There’s no accounting for taste! Wink

ImAvingOops · 05/11/2022 23:38

I'd keep the navy and return the multi coloured monstrosity.

Cloudwire · 06/11/2022 08:03

I love both dresses. If you can afford to keep them both I definitely would. Don't worry about whether your family likes the multicoloured dress. You'll be wearing it not them!

I don’t spend money on clothes as a rule- it was a specific and generous bequest to buy myself something nice.
Thank you everyone for your advice- the consensus is it’s a marmite dress so it’s going back and I’ll get it in the sales

I’m sad that you’re sending it back. 😭

£220!! No no no.

Casualbrowser21 · 06/11/2022 11:35

I love the navy! Looks chic in my opinion

fallfallfall · 06/11/2022 12:23

The problem I have with the multicolor is/are the arms. The sleeves are too bright and the bright doesn’t go across the body.
your on the right track though.

NiqueNique · 06/11/2022 12:33

It does go across the torso - you just can’t see it very well because of how OP is holding her arms to take the photo.

fallfallfall · 06/11/2022 12:36

@NiqueNique the bright pink and red does not go across the torso. My issue is the brightness/contrast.

NiqueNique · 06/11/2022 12:42

The red and pink does go across the chest - you can just see the woven edge of the pink peeking out (although it is difficult to see!).

PlacidPenelope · 06/11/2022 12:43

I'm torn, I think it's a bit funky, different and not dull and boring which I like, but I don't think it does much for your figure and nor do I think it is £220 worth of differentGrin - sorry I'm impaled on the fence and not much help to you at all.
