In order of importance...they need to be:

Pull on
Flat fronted so no zip
No pleats either
Not leggings or jeggings or joggers
Slim or tapered silhouette
Short length
Dark colour
'Casual' rather than 'office'
Don't mind what fabric
Preferably not patterned

I've recently lost weight ( ongoing) and am now a 16. All my bottoms are hanging off me as they are mostly 20s. I'm a tubby hourglass (36F) but I do have a tummy overhang which is why I'm trying to avoid a zipped trouser, as I find this, shall we say, showcases the very bit I'm trying to disguise.

I'm 5'4 so wide legged styles just don't work on me. I look best in "neat" trousers but all I can find at the moment are polyester style trousers that look like the bottom part of a uniform. Or else really voluminous styles that just swamp me.

I know I'm asking for the moon on a stick but I'm hoping there's a slim chance someone else is in the same boat and has found some!

TIA

I found ones that fit the brief but can't seem to post the link.

Go to golfgarb.co.uk and search for Green Lamb pull-on trousers.

Don't let the word "golf" put you off.

Look at Cotton Traders website. They have trousers in different lengths and some, but not all, may fit your criteria.

Not expensive either

SuspiciousDuck · 11/10/2022 17:10

Toast? They have pull on trousers

RealDeeBliss · 11/10/2022 17:11

Had some Uniqlo ones in the past that pull on and tick your other boxes

ivegotthisyeah · 11/10/2022 17:12

I got some from H&M although they do have a zip at the side but not noticeable

Look for some Robell Bella trousers on eBay/vinted.

Also look for slim ponte jersey trousers.

CottonSock · 11/10/2022 17:24

M&s do have loads. Or depending on budget Sophia and saint.

I turned M&S inside out today and unfortunately all the jersey stuff looked leggings/ jogger like on me. I think what I need is a heavier fabric.

My friend bought a pair from M&S yesterday which fit your brief. Will see if I can find them.

Fwiw, I have a 'tummy' & find trousers with a zip (& a decent heavy fabric) are more flattering than pull on ones.

A little too rich for my blood price wise but I'll certainly have a look in case they have perfect ones.

I don't want to spend a fortune ideally, as I'm planning on losing more weight, so they'll be defunct by next spring if everything goes to plan. 🤞🏼

I find Uniqlo too long for me but I'll have another look - thank you.

I will have a look as that sounds promising! H&M sizing does my nut in, though.

Google ‘magic trousers’ they look like joggers but they’re not jersey, they’re really stretchy, comfy and flattering and can be worn casually with trainers of more smartly with shoes or boots x

If I had a higher sitting tummy I would agree with you, but mine is in the FUPA/ gunt ( sorry!) category and zips just make it look more pouchy and saggy than it already is.
