Just checked with my bank and they charged me £108 in total including postage, and no customs, duties etc. I don't think it's even been a week since I ordered it. I think that's very impressive for something custom made!

faustina · 17/10/2022 13:26

@Noeggsontoast - that's a wonderful colour selection . I'd love to see a pic when it's done. I bet it will look amazing with your blue gabi cords
I washed my brown ones for the first time yesterday - was worried because it's quite easy to screw up with corduroy, but they seem soft and lovely as ever

Stoic123 · 17/10/2022 13:33

@faustina - it looks fantastic.

Definitely going to be my next clothes purchase (next month).

Thanks for updating.

ElizabethBennetismybestfriend · 17/10/2022 13:42

Love the outfit@faustina . Are the trousers toast?

faustina · 17/10/2022 15:06

Thanks - I don't know if you can see all the lovely flecks properly in the pics. I could definitely have gone shorter, but am very pleased. You can't return custom orders so it was a bit of a gamble!

@ElizabethBennetismybestfriend - yes they are Toast via Thrift when they had a huge sale in the summer. They cost about £5 and are a bit big but I love the colour

ToastCosILoveIt · 17/10/2022 16:13

@faustina , you look absoultely fab.

dudsville · 17/10/2022 16:42

Your junket looks great @faustina !

faustina · 17/10/2022 16:45

Thank you - they even sent me a little handwritten thank you card, and it has a discount code DK10 but I think you get that anyway for your first order

AmethystMoonShine · 17/10/2022 17:40

Love the jumper @faustina ...very tempted now :)

Noeggsontoast · 17/10/2022 17:41

@faustina thank you, I'll share when finished. I washed my cord gabis too and they came out a treat.

Noeggsontoast · 17/10/2022 17:44

@faustina love your jumper by the way. I've looked at this company before as I spend a lot of time in Ireland had thought I could get things sent to the office and pick them up.

Noeggsontoast · 17/10/2022 17:46

@dudsville thank you. Hopefully another week or two and it will be finished. Then I can get onto my Christmas projects.

Snowyowl78 · 17/10/2022 19:01

@faustina i like your jumper! I’m tempted by the Ocean Blue one. What’s it like sizing wise? Is it really an XL?? It doesn’t look very big.

faustina · 17/10/2022 20:16

@Noeggsontoast I've seen so many trashed corduroy trousers on ebay - I'm not sure what people do to them - perhaps tumble drying? I washed and ironed mine inside out

@Snowyowl78 - it's not really XL. I asked what size their model was wearing and she has a large, but is only 5'2. I got them to customise mine so using their size guide I ordered:

W - 24’
L - 23’
S - 19.5’

I think the width is XL but the other measurements aren't. I could happily have had it made a bit shorter than I did but it's fine as it is really..

You choose which size to base it on, place your order, and then email them the exact measurements. they have a little chat thing on their website and were very quick to reply

faustina · 17/10/2022 20:18

I put my favourite jumpers on my bed and measured them all to get an idea of what I wanted

Snowyowl78 · 17/10/2022 20:23

@faustina thanks! Good to know

dudsville · 17/10/2022 20:45

Loving the idea of made to order knitwear! Slightly off topic, anyone seen the men's fair isle jumper on toast? I love the less whimsical choice of colours. Obviously as they never go in the sale i can't see me buying it, but i really like the look of it! Anyone bought a toast men's jumper from toast before?

Snowyowl78 · 18/10/2022 07:06

@dudsville they never ever have a mens sale! I don’t know why because the website is not overrun with reviews and it suggests to me that they don’t sell a great deal. I have bought a few mens things, not jumpers, but I would say that they do not run large. Stuff is not as oversized as the womens. Obviously they are still mens sizes so as a woman they will be bigger.

Snowyowl78 · 18/10/2022 07:14

@dudsville ps. They have that jumper in this styling vid, also the checked mohair one that I like the look of, also wildly expensive!

faustina · 18/10/2022 07:50

That checked one is beautiful - also the seamless fair isle with the bright blue pattern. Will try to look at the video later on

Saurus72 · 18/10/2022 12:46

A few new things have been added to the website (tho curiously they don’t seem to have been added to the new in section) - I’m interested to Try this tho the price is eye wateringly high. Also may make me look like a 5 year old, difficult to tell.

mizu · 18/10/2022 12:54

Ooh that velvet pinafore is glorious Smile

Saurus72 · 18/10/2022 12:55

Also this could be interesting (or disastrous, depending on the yellow). I have last year’s version of this in kind of pale orange floral and the shape is so nice, really 70s-esque sleeves.

lordloveadog · 18/10/2022 13:14

I ordered the stupidly expensive green part-wool coat to try. But it's going back. Fabric rather stiff and doesn't feel very nice, though heavy and warm. Looks too big, especially when undone, though actually fits. Colour lovely. I'm after a really luxurious-looking and feeling wool winter coat, but this isn't as nice as the pictures. For that price it would have to be fabulous.
