@Stoic123 - thank you. Hopefully I won't get a nasty shock when the sun comes out. I've put my current two peacoats on ebay so there's no going back now!

Imagine what kind of state the sorting rooms are in at the post offices just before Christmas. It must be a daunting sight!

I hope you all get your deliveries soon

Snowyowl78 · 05/12/2022 08:34

Mine have all been stuck in Swansea since early last week.I was hoping to get some today but it doesn’t seem likely :(

TerrierOrTerror · 05/12/2022 10:24

My parcels made it out of Swansea but have been sat at Jubilee for longer. I have about 7 parcels there from the last fortnight (mainly Christmas gift shopping!).

FiddleFigs · 05/12/2022 10:31

My only sale purchase finally arrived this morning and is going straight back. It's the Fen dress, which is lovely but still pricey on sale, and the hem was shockingly uneven all around.

I popped into the Marylebone branch on Saturday and wanted to try on a couple of dresses (the Etched Floral Fluid Crepe dress and the Tie Front Floral dress - both lovely). But the staff were completely entranced by a man regaling them with stories of his time in art school in the 70s, and couldn't spare any attention for any one else in the shop.

ToastCosILoveIt · 05/12/2022 10:47

@SmaugMum , your daughter's bracelets are stunning. If she ever wanted to sell them to us Toasties, I am sure theere would be a market!

My Toast parcel finally arrived via pick up from the post Office (it has come on Saturday) - I ordered it in the first hour of the sale. The Felix Indigo Denim Trousers are going back - too tight around the waist (bloody menopause).

I am undecided on the silk velvet dresses in orange and caper as they are snug around the bust but fit elsewhere. I am veering towards the orange if I keep either. I need to try them on with a different bra :)

I bought a linen utility apron for my daughter which I am keeping and a silk twill bandana in grass which will suit me and the dog!

I can see the Japanese check trousers which i ordered on 1 December are still showing as unfulfilled: I fear a cancel email may be winging its way from Toast.

Saurus72 · 05/12/2022 12:03

@ToastCosILoveIt I have that linen apron and I never knew how much joy an apron could bring but I’m afraid to say it truly does!

dudsville · 05/12/2022 12:25

I'm really worried about a return that isn't showing up on tracking. I attempted 4 returns in one go on saturday, 2 were fine, the QR code didn't work for the 3rd so i had to take it back home, and the 4th seemed to process fine but i didn't realise that i went away with only 2 receipts, and that one isn't showing up on the post office tracking. I know no one can reassure me but it's a real worry!!!😬

Laska2Meryls · 05/12/2022 12:27

Hooray my last two orders have been dispatched!.. and my olive grandad tee has made it out of the Black Hole of Swansea ( but not this far yet).
@faustina I love the new Peacoat on you, good buy there..
@SmaugMum your DDs bracelets are beautiful, so glad that she did well at her stall..

Fingers crossed for you.. I have one not showing up from John lewis, which I physically handed back in Waitrose last week .. so really hoping that its not somehow got lost ....

Thanks everyone for the lovely feedback on DD1’s bracelets; she is extremely chuffed, given the discerning audience! 😅

Anyway, all credit where it’s due…I’ve just had an email from Toast CS apologising for the condition of my Silk Dupion shirt and they have refunded me the full amount of £85 but have asked me not to return the shirt. I plan to get it dry cleaned so I can wear it as it is beautiful and will be a very useful addition to my wardrobe. Thank you, Toast (if you’re reading?!) I’m still cross - and disgusted - that people think it is okay to wear things and then return them to be bought by other suckers.

Also, I got my Toast Christmas card this morning. And an orange linen grandad tee, which I love, but am I the only tall person who wishes there could be a bit more generosity in the length of Toast tops and tees?

TerrierOrTerror · 05/12/2022 12:46

I received three parcels this morning (none of which were Toast) and tracking for all three say they are still at the Jubilee sorting office. So no idea where anything else is!

dudsville · 05/12/2022 13:08

Thanks for the finger crossing @Laska2Meryls , i return the gesture for yours!

That's a great outcome @SmaugMum!!!

Stoic123 · 05/12/2022 14:36

Apart from yesterday's order, all purchased sale items have left Toast offices.

Marl cardigan has been taking a little mini-break in Swansea PO since last Weds.

Good luck to everyone awaiting order despatch, mail movement or refund tracking!

ScottishMouse · 05/12/2022 14:59

One parcel arrived and all is going back. The collars on both the montella poplin shirt and the embroidered shirt are too much on me. I know that shirt collars are tricky on me, yet I ignore this every time and hope for a better outcome 🙄
Hoping for more luck with my other two parcels, if they ever leave Swansea.

dudsville · 05/12/2022 16:31

I've had emails now for the returns that i posted Friday, so i guess I'll find out soon whether that package makes it to them or not.

That's so odd!

I got bored and googled street view for the swansea sorting office. It was my most uninspired google search.

I still have three packages on their way, one with the solovair, one with the gauzy check raglan, both on their way, and the dresses order is still unfulfilled.

So far I've only kept the checkerboard pjs (best ever!) and the green cord raglan top. I love it, I'm really glad i got it, but stupidly I'm not sure what to wear with it so need to play with that one a bit.

Stoic123 · 05/12/2022 19:45

@dudsville -I love the raglan top too. Wore with jeans today and seemed to go well.

Snowyowl78 · 05/12/2022 20:49

Toast want me to review all the stuff I haven’t received! I feel silly that all my parcels are backing up and the postperson is going to bring me about 5 parcels! I might delay some of them myself :) I’ve been looking at the men’s cord shirts, really nice one in a light blue.

OftenOrange · 05/12/2022 20:54

Unfortunately loving everything in my parcel , so will reassess in the morning because my usual practice is to find out I never wear half the stuff in the end,
I’d appreciate feedback of those who own the patchwork denim jacket , do you find it useful? It’s a very lovely thing , but quite bulky on my frame with all the padding , however lots of room for jumpers so I’m assuming a good piece for between seasons .

Snowyowl78 · 05/12/2022 21:02

@OftenOrange ooh that’s exciting! What else did you get?

ToastCosILoveIt · 05/12/2022 21:16

My Japanese trousers have finally been dispatched. Here's hoping that the Small fit my size 12 waist....

@OftenOrange , the patchwork denim jacket is one of my favourite Toast garments ever in 20 years as a loyal shopper. I wear it with/over everything, all year round. If I’d known it was in the sale, I would probably have bought another! I don’t worry about the ‘bulkiness’ of the garment as it’s fairly cropped so it’s not all encompassing and enveloping.

SmaugMum · 05/12/2022 21:20

No dispatch notice for my Vale print circle dress and it’s showing as ‘unfulfilled’. Please, Toast, not a hat-trick of cancellations. On the other hand, I’m looking forward to receiving a pair of black wool trousers I ordered as a replacement for my cancelled Jude moss check. I’ll see if I can find a photo as I don’t recall them from previous catalogues.

OftenOrange · 05/12/2022 21:39

Thanks for your feedback , the fact it’s an all year round piece is definitely encouraging ! I love the arty Japanese vibe of the Patchwork Denim so will probably keep it .
I think what may have thrown me is that I tried it with the flat front denim culottes in Olive , very very wide . My favourite trousers are the sidebutton Emma , so everything has to work with them .

OftenOrange · 05/12/2022 21:47

Snowyowl78 · 05/12/2022 21:02

@OftenOrange ooh that’s exciting! What else did you get?

Well , rather a lot :

terracotta / yellow Emma t shirt, Collared t shirt in cumin, Circle neck top in indigo chambray ,flat front denim culottes in olive .
Still to come , a stripey jumper in plum, yellow etc, a painted check sun top and a raffia crossbody bag . Feeling guilty about all the unworn pieces I have already that I seldom wear because I’m too lazy ….
