Here's a new thread for all things Toast..

They should fully refund you and give you the option of keeping it, I think... But I d just want to give it back I think

So, I have emailed Toast to explain that I am a loyal and regular shopper for the past two decades and that I rarely/never return anything. I have asked for a significant reduction/refund to reflect the fact that I have very clearly bought a second-hand shirt. I don’t mind second-hand and I positively relish a good rummage in our local charity shops; but there is no way I would pay £85 in a charity shop for a previously worn item, regardless of its label or provenance. I actually love the shirt and I can’t now order a replacement so I would be delighted if Toast refunded me fully and then I would pay for the shirt to be dry cleaned. If not, I will return it but I will add a note asking for it to be ragged to a charity shop to prevent anyone else being unfortunate enough to purchase it from Toast.

Honestly, I’m genuinely surprised by the very poor customer service I’ve received during this sale; I’ve never had cancellations before either.

I don't, but I purchased it today@neveradullmoment99 . What are you thinking about it? Fwiw, I'm embarrassed to say that with returning most things now I've gone back into the sale and decided to try most of the summer dresses. 🍷 at the end of the working week may have something to do with it...

That's annoying @EmmatheStageRat hope Toast come good and refund you and you get to keep the shirt.

A couple of my sale items have been dispatched now so hopefully will be here soon.
I often reorder stuff I've tried in the hope it will suit me second time round🤦‍♀️

I love the print. Reviews say it's quite big but I fancy wearing it just now with a long-sleeved tee under it.

@EmmatheStageRat that is utterly disgusting. With their prices, things should be perfect on receipt and should be checked.
Also, it is a bit silly them closing the sale on Monday with all the returns they are likely to still get considering most sent back won't have had a chance to arrive back and be resold. I wonder whether they will extend the sale, though this is unheard of with Toast.

... although, @neveradullmoment99 - it could be that they want a decent gap between this sale and the proper one which they usually do just before Christmas <hopeful>

Well, there's very little i didn't order @TheChattyRat ! I did size down @Countmeout . I love check patterns but don't like sleeveless things - my arms are fine, i just feel under dressed, so like you I'm thinking a tee under, or possibly a jacket over. So I'm trying the Fir, Alder, Rowan, Elm, and Painted check dresses. And then for good measure i threw in the sleeveless linen in walnut, and the woodbine. I tried the woodbine in the last sale and it was comically huge, but then i saw it in someone and it was so nice, so I'm trying two sizes down.

is their postage slow at the moment?

Think its the RM postal strike causing the issues

I tried the alder in the summer @dudsville - it didn't suit me but it's a lovely dress.

All these cancellations are rubbish. My three orders are all stuck in Swansea. One of them I ordered on Sunday night when the sale items started to appear, and paid for next day delivery, but that has also been stuck in Swansea since Monday. I had hoped they might show up today, but it looks like it’ll be another few days. ☹️

@neveradullmoment99 , i can't find a pic of that, is it the blue and white check that also came as a skirt? I loved that so much but couldn't make it work for me, i was gutted as it was so well made and the fabric was so nice.

Re Swansea, 🤞 . Two of mine that were in swansea last i checked yesterday afternoon are being delivered today.

strangely i ordered 3 on the same day which all got dispatched on the same day but only one is coming today! Rest in Swansea.

My first is due to be delivered today, two have left Swansea and one is in Swansea. 2 more packages (ordered later) not posted yet so waiting to see if any cancellations from those ones (Luna, Japanese, Sycamore Needlecord and Zadie Bloom).

My Sunday night order is still in Swansea and my Luna dress order hasn’t even been dispatched but no cancellation as yet…….

If yours is a size 10, I won’t be impressed with Toast: do you think they’re drawing names out of hats now as to who gets what?!

I ordered three parcels, one has arrived, one is in Swansea and the first one has been despatched but not yet received by Royal Mail. That is a Sunday night order and the one I need the most. Hoping it's not going to be cancelled as I need it for a funeral. The trials of a Toast sale!

My Lys shirt and Luna have still not been dispatched either. But the rate everything was snapped up I think the Toast work experience elves will be working flat out ...

mine is a 12. I need it in the bust area. I find these dresses can be tight on me there.

I've ordered the check sleeveless dress. I am a 14 really in high street stores [lockdown and stress eating and mostly meno] so usually go for a 12 but I have actually ordered a 10 in this as its meant to be huge. Hope I have done the right thing as I will not be able to swap it. Thinking it will take an eternity to come through.
Saying that, my two parcels are actually due to be delivered today. The lan dress and the fairisle.
