I’m still thinking Monday 28th for the sale. At 8am!

HandOfGod · 19/11/2022 13:30

It's a bit of reach though, isn't it? Some dress ( I think) Jenny Garcia was describing with big pockets ' for paintbrushes' etc.
They're very much selling a lifestyle ( fair enough) but its done in such an unsubtle way! Cant imagine Duncan Grant et al painted in anything other than old clothes.

Still, I find the whole marketing angle quite fascinating, for many reasons. As are the styling videos and all nikki's chat. Things not being ' big making' etc...

dudsville · 19/11/2022 13:37

Thanks for delurking to discuss the belt @HandOfGod , and for your thoughts @faustina .

Ok, I'll go for saturday 26th for the win!

Laska2Meryls · 19/11/2022 15:14

Stravaig · 19/11/2022 09:40

Well that's in keeping with new Toast. How shitty of them.

That's pretty off... Ah well , Up the Proletariat! 💪They need to look at who is actually buying ..

@Noeggsontoast - seems an unusual pattern for a random prize draw but early days.

The Advertising Standards Authority website provides guidance on what they would expect to see in terms of a process for randomly selected prize draw winners.

Stoic123 · 19/11/2022 20:47

Calling sale start at c9pm on Sunday 27th November.

Start will be noticed by a contributor to this thread who will hurriedly buy 2-3 items before coming on to this thread to excitedly announce it to the rest of us.

JustforToast · 19/11/2022 21:29

Oh my, a sale coming! Anyone got any target items? I’ve been considering this dress but I’m
thinking it would need at least 40% off for me to buy it. I’m not sure about mustard on me but it looks like a super comfortable style and I love how it looks on the model examining her art portfolio 😀

Snowyowl78 · 20/11/2022 08:37

@JustforToast me too! I was thinking of trying it for size at full price, as I think it’s going to be really big. I would buy it at £200. I think though that this sale will be ‘winter archive’ and that the current stuff sale will be the last week of December

dudsville · 22/11/2022 19:32

We have to be so close now! I've had some work stress and my escapism has been thinking, "yeah, OK, but there'll be a Toast sale soon!"😊

AmethystMoonShine · 22/11/2022 21:23

Just looked and my November sale order last year was on Monday 29th November, which I am pretty sure was the first day of the sale. Odd as I'm sure it's usually a Thursday....but now I think about it I think it was Monday...?
So, does that mean next Monday 28th November will be the day?
I spend far too much time thinking about this 🙄😂

dudsville · 23/11/2022 18:28

I bought a sale item onthe 28th last year!

Saurus72 · 23/11/2022 18:54

Me too @dudsville - I really don’t need anything I don’t think but always in the market for (another…) dress or some lovely PJs.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/11/2022 19:01

Well I though I'd chance the chat and ask them.
They said no to November and 'most likely' not until December! ( Don't believe it)

neveradullmoment99 · 23/11/2022 19:03

Is it possible they won't have one until December?

TheChattyRat · 23/11/2022 20:34

Oh no they should take pity on us!
Perhaps they mean no "mainstream" sale until December but an archive sale in November? (clutches at straws!)

AmethystMoonShine · 23/11/2022 21:40

Hadn’t even considered no sale in November 😳

dudsville · 23/11/2022 21:45

😶whodid you as Never?

Countmeout · 24/11/2022 05:51

I think there was definitely something at the end of November /first few days December previously.

I bought a sale nightdress on 29th November according to my orders.
Then sale shoes 22nd December. I think the end of November a few things went into sale.
I think they’re very picky at the moment about what does go into sale and try to carry on with items as long as possible at full price.
Did anyone notice a couple of new dresses appeared?
This is new isn’t it?
www.toa.st/collections/womens-dresses/products/brushed-check-cotton-dress-rich-olive
and this?
www.toa.st/collections/womens-dresses/products/brush-strokes-crepe-dress-bitter-chocolate

Countmeout · 24/11/2022 05:52

Should have said both sale items were previous seasons I think.

faustina · 24/11/2022 08:08

Customer service often say one thing and then it turns out not to be true <still hopeful> - or maybe they will do another targeted thing like the fair isle?

Snowyowl78 · 24/11/2022 08:34

I’m sure it will be Monday, last 2 years have been. I’m hoping some of the homeware might go in. Want a nice blanket!

Countmeout · 24/11/2022 08:57

On a side note has anyone ever bought anything from Olive? I keep seeing things I like but not sure how the sizing works or what they are like for returns.

mizu · 24/11/2022 09:24

I love Olive Clothing but only have jumpers from there - and a pair of jeans. Oh and a dress - quite oversized as they are one size. Some lovely checked dresses.

TheChattyRat · 24/11/2022 10:18

@Countmeout I don't think those are new as I've been looking at the check dress for a while. I like it but it has a poor review.
