I finally got to the UK last week and was able to try on a whole load of Toast purchases. In the end I kept three dresses, all of which I think are beautiful.
The ones I kept were:
Crinkled Cotton Gingham Dress, which is quite oversized but still right in my usual size, just with a generous-looking cut. Beautiful fabric.
Embroidered Cotton Kaftan Dress, which is a silly price but just lovely and go-everywhere. When it initially sold out I realized I was very disappointed so decided to try it and couldn't send it back.
Peaks Print Easy Dress, which will wear for restaurants, events. I have an orange version from a sale a year or two ago which is a bit shorter. I think this is an even better cut. Very good on curvy figure.
I sent back the Check Cotton Cashmere Dress because the cut was very unflattering on me and the chest gaped. The fabric is nice, though. Also the Gathered Turrell Check Dress, which I thought was a dead cert because I have a browny version from this summer which I love, but this was vastly less flattering and I didn't like the material at all.
I rather liked the Geometric Cotton Jacquard Skirt, beautiful fabric and embroidery, but teenagers made me send it back. It is very peasant-wear and would need to be worn by someone who can carry that off without just looking like a plump peasant. The fit is the tighter-waist type, which is good for me because waists usually too big if hips fit. So usual size if you like the tighter waisted cuts.
Now I must not buy anything more for a very long time.
