Are these glasses too 'attention seeking'?

I've worn contacts throughout my late teens and early 20s and after an incident decided to switch to glasses and they have been a part of my style now.

I currently have cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1140/7330/products/oliver-peoples-0OV5389D__1666_030A-eyeglasses_2000x.jpg?v=1610662570 and images.ray-ban.com/is/image/RayBan/8053672430721__002.png?impolicy=RB_Product&width=1024&bgc=%23f2f2f2.

I work in a tech company where there is no dress code and many of us wears birkenstocks so being 'professional' is not really an issue. Saw these the other day cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1140/7330/products/ScreenShot2020-05-27at9.18.51AM_2000x.png?v=1590596646 and I love them! Tried them on and I think I look good in them but am worried if they're a bit too 'look at me' IYSWIM?

I'm not very edgy still wise, mostly look like i.pinimg.com/236x/58/66/3d/58663da8791d0f98622dceb5924d9cfd--denim-jeans-blue-jeans.jpg half the time and i.pinimg.com/564x/e2/9c/ab/e29cab0d46945597bb0380c1fec7132b.jpg the other half the time.

What's the verdict?

They're very different in shape from the first two. Are you sure they suit your face shape?

I think they suit me but will take a bit getting used to as I'm so used to seeing my face in glasses shaped like the first 2 I linked. Had rectangle ones for a brief period too but looking back on pictures of me with those on they were definitely the wrong choice!

I also was expecting something 'out there', like Lisa on Eggheads. The round ones are smart and elegant. You'll get used to them and wonder why you wrre

Oops! Why you were worried.

I agree, the new ones are fine. Striking, distinctive but not nearly as attention-seeking as your OP made me expect.

Was seriously expecting to see the Su Pollard Collection! Nice bins though.

My daughter has a very similar pair and she looks awesome in them, granted she's 8 but if I had the confidence and my face wasn't round as a pound I'd wear them.

I don’t think they’re particularly out there. But, my god metal frames bloody hurt. I don’t know if it’s my nose or face shape or the fact I have a high prescription but the bits on the side push into my nose. I’ve got a permanent dent from an NHS pair I wore back in the day.

I’d say buy what suits your face and feels comfortable. Also, I only buy glasses when I’ve got my contacts in so I can see the frames properly.

The 3rd ones are very similar to my "going out" glasses. They are a completely different style/shape to my "everyday" ones and make me feel less boring and nerdy.
