Space NK advent calendar

I’ve just had an email from Space NK to say their 2022 advent calendar is available now! Obviously far too early, normally I ignore Christmas things till Dec, and I can’t afford it anyway, but it looks so much fun! Is anyone buying it? Will anyone share what they though of it?

Code Advent22 gives free hand-wash and hand cream duo.

I bought it. I'm not sure if I regret it. The box it comes in is actually quite useful for storing beauty hauls.

Do you think it was worth the £270? I am trying to persuade myself I could build a couple of nice gifts for friends from any of the contents I wouldn’t use but they would, as a way of justifying it.. 😂

I ordered mine Wednesday and it arrived yesterday. Stashed away until December now.

It was £215 not £270 plus I got £10 worth of points. I've been saving for it all year and will get the cult beauty one as well.

For me it's excellent value, I'm still using some of the products from last year's calendar.

I dont know if it's worth it. I've been really good for the last few years and I just sort of want to treat myself. The retinol is really good and the olaplex always goes down well. And I love the caviar eye sticks. Spf is always useful.

But to be honest, I'm a bit disappointed with the tacha and ceo sizes. And I can't stand the Augustus Bader stuff. And fragrance free hand cream? What?

Most of the make up goes to a friend because I stick to what I know.

I didnt like the candle scent at all.

And i am disappointed there was no perfume. And the free sample with purchase wasn't in the box.

I've never tried any tacha or drunk elephant or la mer before, so that made the difference.

I dont know. If I hadn't have got it I wouldn't feel hard done to. But I am looking forward to lots of the little treats and there is lots of stuff I would have bought. I have money to burn because things that I have been saving for didn't happen and I wanted treats. If money was as tight as last year I wouldn't have got it.

The little boxes they come in are a bit fiddly and don't feel as glamorous as the draws, but the larger case they come in is useful for storing stuff under the bed.

I am probably still going to try to get the cult one as well.

Bought mine today - good variety of stuff including some makeup, as opposed to Liberty this year (two mascaras? why?) with no stupid jade rollers / eye masks etc padding it out. Only two things that are a bit meh for me - bum bum cream and augustinus bader.

Just wish the box looked more Christmassy, though it's better than the Net-a Porter design I had a couple of years ago.

Oh those jade rollers the last couple of years were ridiculous! Must check out the Cult one. It’s been a really tough year, and I want to treat myself to something for Christmas, but also don’t want to waste money on something I won’t enjoy. Doesn’t have to be ‘useful’, just lovely and fun and things I will enjoy looking at and using!

Does it tend to stay for sale for long ? Unsure whether to get it (I like some of their products) but can’t afford the money atm

It wouldn't surprise me if it were still available in a month. Iirc they did a restock last year. There was also a special offer where you got more points or something. I didnt get it last year so can't remember exactly.

If you're unsure save up for next year? They are all much the same.

I’d like a calendar just not sure which. I got rituals but this year I don’t like theirs.

inuse some of the products from space so that’s why I thought maybe. And they currently have an offer but It doesn’t apply to the calendar

I thought the John lewis one was very good. Have a look at that.

Im annoyed I cant find my birthday code. Ive ordered one as I usually do every couple of years and do M and S inbetween. I dont want to read any spoilers.

I was looking forward to treating myself to a calendar this year but none of them took my fancy. I look at the contents to decide how excited I would be to open each day and there were about 2 days I would have been excited for. Definitely not enough to warrant spending the money on. The small sizes, repeat items (obviously this won’t apply to everyone) and things I definitely won’t use made it a pointless purchase for me. I have no regrets on skipping a calendar this year and I usually get one!
for me I know what I like now, the calendars were great for a few years ago when I was just starting to learn what worked for me, what I needed etc but now I know I just stick to it and don’t piss my skin off with trying too many new things 😂

i guess it's not selling well, at the end it's the risk you want to take, buy it early and risk it going down in price or wait and it selling out. i decided to wait until an offer like this came as i wasnt willing to pay full price for it

I agree it’s a risk. But they also have to rely on preorders to make it worth their while. So they aren’t really doing themselves any favours here.
