Trousers look ridiculous. What brands are super long?

wheresmymojo · 07/09/2022 21:23

Also came to say ASOS Tall

WhereAreWeNow · 07/09/2022 21:24

For more fashion stuff like wide cords I would try places like Asos Tall range. Asos stocks several other fashion brands that do tall ranges. H&M definitely won't be long enough. I find their trousers really short. You could also try Mango, Zara and Bershka. I used to get a lot of lovely long (34") trousers from those shops.

absolutehush · 07/09/2022 21:25

Uniqlo do a long length which might have styles to suit. I actually think their jeans come 34 or 36 and shorter people are expected to hem theirs

WhereAreWeNow · 07/09/2022 21:35

@absolutehush I've heard people say this but I find most Uniqlo trousers are 30" or 32" and are too short. I've bought the longer ones too and still don't think they're long enough. Gap Tall are much longer. More like 36".

ScrummyDiva2 · 07/09/2022 21:43

My nearly 6ft teen finds Bershka trousers a good length ( and good price!)

sellthesizzle · 07/09/2022 21:45

Loads of places do long length trousers these days - ASOS, New Look, Next (xxl), urban outfitters, long tall sally, M&S now do decent long trousers.

34 inside leg isn't ridiculously long for 5'10" - and long legs are lovely.

ShedHead7 · 07/09/2022 21:58

Next tall, asos tall and Long tall sally (next stock LTS too) are my go to shops. I'm 6' with a 36" inside leg. Size down for lts though as they are defo on the big side.

Tr1skel1on · 07/09/2022 22:08

M&S have just lengthened their trousers. I'm heading there tomorrow to get beanpole DD some new school trousers, the current long ones look like Capri pants

Lalalalalalafalalalafalala · 07/09/2022 22:10

Zara

Minniem2020 · 07/09/2022 22:25

I'm glad your daughter likes being tall,Im not even particularly tall at 5 foot 8 but I also have a 34 inside leg and when I was 16 over 20 years ago there were very few longer trousers available . I used to hate it! As others have said there are some great options now, DD has just ordered some boohoo tall jeans and trousers which were really reasonable.

SoupDragon · 07/09/2022 22:33

DD has just got some ridiculously long trousers from Pretty Little Thing. She needs a 32" leg and they're at least 2" too long for her.

Crazycatstory · 07/09/2022 22:38

M&S extra long are 35”

ShangPie · 08/09/2022 08:31

Not a tip for buying new, but for the too-short favourites, if she really loves them, could you try and salvage them by changing the hemline?

Potentially letting down the hem could gain an inch, or even hemming them a bit higher could make them look less awkward?

MerryMaidens · 08/09/2022 08:47

Zara are not long!

For teens, asos is probably your best bet, and they have quite a lot of differentbrands including topshop. I'm 40 and I think LTS and seasalt are a bit frumpy.

H&M have some good options but you need to try on. I like Cos- and arket often longer as well.

There is SO much more choice than when I was a teen but it's still rubbish when you can only choose from 3% of trousers available.

MintJulia · 08/09/2022 08:56

I buy Boden long. They are pretty good, although becoming less available

MyPenIsHuge · 08/09/2022 09:01

What a fucking lovely way to talk about your daughter!

She's fine however she is. For the love of god don't give her a complex.

Iheartgeraniums · 08/09/2022 09:04

Topshop tall used to have 36 inside legs

Some of Zara’s long leg wide leg trousers are insanely long!

Size doesn’t matter you know. Am happy for you that your pen is huge.

However, my DD does want some clothes that look the way she wants them to look.

I am so stupid - this did not occur to me!

It might not work as they are cords and there may be a really visible line where the current hemline is. Also the hem might not be deep enough but I will definitely investigate - thank you, had not entered my head!

All these tall girls are so lucky. Hope you find some trousers OP.

timeforthebeach · 08/09/2022 11:29

Hollister do a 34iinch leg too so worth a look. My friends DD has long legs and loves Bershka and urban outfitters but they are pricey

Annonnimoouse42 · 08/09/2022 11:32

you can get tall leggings on Amazon. I've got 36" inside leg and they're plenty long and thick enough to be seen in public

smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B016SDA5YS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

MrPlobby · 08/09/2022 11:37

She changed into Berska jeans yesterday which are a much better length for her. Berska, Pull & Bear and Zara are all owned by the same company but am not sure if they use the same standard leg length.

Joseph are incredibly long!
Unless you’re minted, no way would I suggest buying new, but you could probably get great bargains on Vinted.
