Uggs yes or no?

I want some warm comfy boots for colder weather ahead.

What do you think of Uggs?

Are they still a big No no?? a waste of money?.. or are similar looking cheaper versions just as good.

Recommendations please!

In cold weather my feet are like icicles in anything else so UGGs it is for the 12th year running. I have tall and short and UGG slippers and socks too.
Fuck what anyone else things.

I have 2 pairs and will be buying a third pair shortly. I couldn't give 2 hoots what anyone else thinks! I'm careful not to wear them in the rain though.

I wear mine with leggings or joggers (but ‘nice’ ones not Waynetta style 😂) if I’m just going into town or doing errands, I don’t think they look that bad in a sort of luxe loungewear type way (yes I know I sound like a knob 😳).

The genuine ones are pricey but they last last 3-4 winters even with lots of wear so I think they’re pretty good value and nothing comes close to them for warmth and comfort.

Hard yes - Uggs are the best footwear there is in the cold and last for years. Get them now on sale before prices fly up.

Emu are as good, probably cheaper, and often waterproof.

Love Uggs. I have a couple of pairs, comfy, warm & make me happy

Yes - they're so comfortable and warm, and I literally don't care if someone doesn't like them 😄.

I love mine. I am not very trendy though. I like Uggs in winter and Birkenstocks in summer because I really like comfort!

I always have a pair handy in the winter for the school run! They have lasted years but I don't wear them for much else

I love my uggs and happily wear them out. They’re comfy, idgaf.

Uggs at home from basically mid September to the start of summer for me. I don't wear them to walk much because they don't support my ankles etc and are not ideal on the beach etc.

Also paired with cashmere jumpers and gloves at home. All of the warmth.

And nope not expensive, all purchases second hand at £20 for the boots and £1 a jumper from the charity shop!

I love my Uggs, and they last for years and years if you look after them properly ie use the suede protection spray & I don't wear them in the rain. I couldn't give a toss what anyone thinks and I don't know why they get such a bad rep, they're sooooo comfy. I love wearing mine! I've had the tall ones but I prefer the mid-length ones.

They are back in fashion with some new styles due to the 2000s revival. I got these delivered yesterday and they're lovely

Reading everyone's replies - think I'll definitely be purchasing some Uggs.

Dh and I were them in our office in the winter, they’re a non brainier for warmth. However we work from home, I wouldn’t wear them outside but I would buy a pair and take them in a bag to the office if I were you. You will not regret it!

I wear them every day at home in winter but wouldn’t wear them out if the house these days.

I have a pair, and I absolutely love them. They keep my feet warm, I wear them inside and out if the house and I couldn’t give a monkeys what anyone else thinks.

For those who already own a pair, any tips on how to give them a freshen up before the weather turns?

My old ones are finally knackered I wore them in the rain a lot, so will be relegated to park trips with DS. I'm really considering new ones. They're not stylish but my god are they warm

Yes yes yes. I love them. Have two pairs which I wear all winter. Super warm and comfortable and I like the look personally. I do like a chunky boot or shoe though. Balances out my chunky hips lol!

I have a pair of lace-up tall Uggs and I do wear them outside. Would pop to the supermarket in them, or when going to/from the swimming pool as they’re perfect for wearing without socks, which is handy for getting dressed quickly. As others said I try to avoid wearing them when it’s wet, and I wouldn’t do any serious walking in them.
