Does a very supportive, non-wired bra exist?

Mozziebite · 01/09/2022 17:28

… and one that doesn’t give a monoboob?! Although I’ll take that if it’s the only way.

A bit tired of locking my not-perky boobs into an uncomfortable, wired boob prison every day just to alleviate back pain.

I’ve tried so many bras over the years.

Help! Anyone found the perfect bra? I don’t care how expensive!

Would a sports bra fit the bill?

AnneLovesGilbert · 01/09/2022 17:30

If you find one let me know. Especially with a range of awkward sizes.

Matildahoney · 01/09/2022 17:32

I wouldn't normally, but I've just ordered a couple of Victorias secret bras from next, one style are 2 for £40 the other is £40 on its own, both really comfy though.
I used to wear Wonderbra wireless t shirt bra but unless you have an outlet near you I can't find them online

ditavonteesed · 01/09/2022 17:32

Molke, they are a bit wacky but so comfy and give you a really good shape under clothes

corlan · 01/09/2022 17:36

Not perfect, but the best I've found so far . Have you tried Triumph Doreen?

I love wear my freedom bras, I'm 36g and they give me a nice shape

Never heard of these so I just looked them up and have ordered. Thanks! All too often I see recommendations and they don’t go up to my size!

Another vote for wear my freedom, they are fantastic.

CornishTiger · 01/09/2022 18:47

I’m going to try the ones from here

Not pretty, but I find this M&S one really good. My boobs point forward at least rather than out to the sides.

Don't get this one though. The material is all puckered across the breast which makes it look like you have three nipples.

Thank you for the wear my freedom recommendation, I am being shanked in the armpit as we speak.

Farewell stabby bra!

I’d agree with this. Not trendy. Think my m7m must have had these 🤣🤣🤣, but they absolutely do the job. And they come in very size you might need

EarthlyNightshade · 01/09/2022 19:19

Bravissimo. There's one called Cici that I really like.

learieonthewildmoor · 01/09/2022 20:00

Miss Mary bras. They make cotton non-wired bras that are pretty and give you shape.

Christ the price of the freedom ones 😱 But I’m desperate so might be worth a shot.

I’ve got a bunch in my basket on bravissimo but I’ve had tragic disappointment from there before so can’t bring myself to actually order.

I’m 32GG so M&S are a no go.

Bra shopping is worse than jeans shopping. Which is saying something.

Yep same size and agree - bra shopping is hell!

And thank you to everyone’s suggestions! Keep em coming - am going to check out that freedom bra sports version and will also buy a few others!

They were talking about this on the "popsy" Facebook group. All ranting about a make. I meant to save it but I forgot. :P but if you're on there you could ask :D

Rinatinabina · 01/09/2022 22:11

Victorias secrets. I would go in to be measured.

I've looked at molke a few times but I just can't decide! Are they worth the money? Are they ok to get on/ off? Think I have visions of being stuck halfway in/out of it - heard loads about the firm band!

ditavonteesed · 02/09/2022 15:37

@mrstea301 getting them on and off is a learned skill but they are so worth the effort

learieonthewildmoor · 02/09/2022 16:09

The first time you put on and take off a Molke bra it’s good to have someone else in the house for when you get stuck in it. Once you learn 1. step in 2. Pull up 3. One arm at a time, you know the joy of wearing a Molke.

MadamePompom · 09/09/2022 20:57

Royce lingerie do some pretty non underwired bras. They only do non underwired with the range including breastfeeding and post mastectomy bras also.
