What is your ghost outfit?

So I've been binge watching 'Ghosts' - the series about a couple who inherit a house filled with ghosts who are all dressed forever in the outfit they died in. It got me thinking that maybe my new motto should be 'Don't wear anything that you wouldn't be happy to be your eternal ghost outfit' 😂I've always been lazy with clothes and thought this might be the motto I've been searching for to give me some motivation!

So I was wondering, if you had to choose today an outfit to be your eternal ghost outfit, what would you pick? (I know this probably changes year to year so just go with what you'd choose today!)

Such an original thread. Now I just have to watch the series!
Mine would be a long dress in lemon with blue kitten heel slingbacks and a blue straw summer hat thats not too floppy.
My winter one would be; long black dress with pockets, a long scarf with red knitted pom poms and a pair of biker boots.
I must confess that I don't have any of these but maybe I need to!

I presume we wouldn't feel pain so I could wear high heels and the tightest girdle possible?

Although I like the idea of mooching about in sweat pants and a hoodie, so that I can creep up on people without them hearing me.

I would absolutely be the woman in black.

Mine would a Palava or Eponine 1950s style full skirted dress. There's every chance if I did get hit by a bus/ fall off a roof/ get impaled by an arrow that that's what I'd be wearing.

Did anyone think this thread was going to be about diaphanous, pastel coloured, floaty dresses from Ghost?

If I decide to wear high heels as a ghost, are they easy to walk in and pain free in the ghost world? I normally wear trainers or comfortable sandals / shoes for walking, but if I can go for a ghostly hike or run in party shoes I might wear them. Otherwise I’ll be going for comfort all the way.

A knee-length wool winter coat (probably red) and knee high leather boots. Underneath, either jeans and a jumper or a wool skirt, tights and a jumper.

I love wool coats, but usually have to wear a sensible anorak instead. So I'll take advantage of not getting wet if it rains. Same for the leather boots. While I appreciate my waterproof walking trainers, I don't want to spend the afterlife in them!

Help me. It would be a pair of baggy trackie bottoms, with mud on the knees, a T-shirt, also with mud, a disreputable padded gilet and nasty green fake crocs . Spiders in my hair and more mud between my toes. It is a sad fact that all my family and friends would recognise me from this description. And I have lots of lovely clothes, but this is what I wear.
on the other hand, this question is asking where we want to be when we die, and I would want to be in my garden.

Some great ideas (and a few outfit ideas I plan to steal!). It seems we have some very stylish ghosts, some very comfy ghosts, and one naked ghost!

I just had the horrifying realisation that if I drop dead right now, my ghost outfit will be a striped top with a stain on it that I can't throw out because it's so comfy so I just sleep in it, and granny pants. Because it was too hot for PJ bottoms last night, so I opted for trusty granny pants instead. (I'm abroad at the moment, if anyone's wondering about the time difference, I don't just get up at 2AM 😁)

Off to get dressed in an eternity-worthy outfit, just in case.

Sweaty Betty leggings, vest and some kind of hoodie.
ASICS Nimbus trainers.

I want to be comfy - especially my feet if we’re talking eternity - , and give the impression that I was fit when I was alive!

Has to be pjs . I've got some nice mrs hinch ones .
I don't mind wearing them forever . Or anyone seeing me in them !

When I was school librarian, I wore a Woman In Black costume on World Book Day, with a crinoline and everything.

Nearly gave a Year 11 a heart attack when he saw me wafting along a corridor

Ooh i missed the Woman in Black comment! What a great idea! Might be a bit of a lonely afterlife if you scared everyone away who can see you though! 😂

My immediate thought was pj's & Birkenstock's but saw from everyone else I'd need to up my game 🤣

So glamorous ghost is my favourite going 'out out' jumpsuit with heels (cos ghosts can't feel pain), biker jacket, hair freshly coiffed, makeup & jewellery

Not so glamorous ghost is yoga gear (Gary pants are sooo comfy) oversized cardigan, Birkenstock's & hair still coiffed. Tbf there's a good chance I'll be wearing this outfit (minus the nice hair) anyway
