Aveda damage remedy. Try to replace it every few years and skulk back with my tail between my legs each time.

Aveda heat protecter in the blue tube. Last one lasted me 5 years. I know because I got married the year I bought it.

Dermalogica multivitamin recovery mask. Never found a dupe and it gives you that well nourished look. Dermalogica cleanser, sunblocks etc too.

Superdrug vitamin E intensive body cream. Rich but not heavy in mineral oil.

Vichy nutrilogie 1 and 2 moisturisers. I've been using these on and off for over 20 years - I try other things but always come back to them. They just work for my skin.

Also suncream by Richard Gillis. My family have been using this regularly for around 30 years now. The smell takes me right back to childhood.

londonlass71 · 25/08/2022 21:01

Sanitary towels. Although I'm hoping that I won't need them anymore soon.

grownup2 · 25/08/2022 21:37

Biosilk serum for my thick wavy non porous hair. Stops frizz, keeps waves. Wish I could buy a cheaper alternative but have never found one. All else is ineffective of sticky or greasy.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 25/08/2022 21:52

Toni and Guy Sea Salt spray. The best product for my wavy hair.

Bought Boots Botanics eye make up remover for about 10 years until they changed the formula and it made my eyes sting!

Tropic sunday ( spf) face cream.
Bobbi brown roseberry lipstick .. for years .. but disçontinued now ...

Luredbyapomegranate · 25/08/2022 23:05

Bobbi brown extra eye cream. The eye cream of the gods. I have the world’s driest eyelids and it leaves things like Keihls avocado standing

o’keefes body lotion. The only thing that protects my dry and eczema prone skin.

Philip Kingsley elasticiser - massively helps my crap dry hair

Superdrug vitamin E face wash.

Flannels. The best exfoliators

Child’s farm sweet orange oil shower gell (summer), l’occataine almond oil shower gell (winter)

Clinique curling mascara in black, stays on, curls a bit, doesn’t annoy my eyes, tubing so comes off easily

Laura mercier tinted moisturiser. Never found anything better.

princessbear80 · 25/08/2022 23:14

Flexitol heel balm
Another Scrubber foot pumice thing (excellent replacement for newtons sponges which aren’t made anymore it seems)
Altruist spf50
Sure maximum protection cream deodorant (can’t get the stick one anymore as made in Russia!)
Dermatica tretinoin/hydroquinone
The Inkey List Fulvic acid cleanser

ELF brow gel
No7 tubing mascara in the gold tube
(although I have had tinted lashes and brows over the summer and hardly worn any make up!)

Not happy with any of my moisturisers right now, need to find a good one.

muddlingthrou · 25/08/2022 23:37

Wow, I'm amazed to see how many times Mitchum roll-on has been mentioned. I recently started using it and reckon I'm a convert for life!

Otherwise flexitol hand balm is the only thing that works for my poor dermatitis-stricken hands. Despite trying to cut beauty costs, I've come crawling back to Clinique moisture surge as it alone can keep both my flaky brows and shiny and t-zone happy.

Starfishswimmer · 25/08/2022 23:46

Boots basic eye make up remover pads
so cheap and effective
now not sold
and I’ve tired everything !!

Ameanstreakamilewide · 25/08/2022 23:53

Metabigot · 25/08/2022 06:51

I'm a bit of a brand tart but seem to come back to

Urban decay primer potion
Body shop ginger shampoo
Bonacure pH freeze conditioner
Bobbi brown extra eye repair
Benefit precisely brow pencil

I was disappointed to see that you included Urban Decay in your list, cos I really enjoyed the alliteration!

Rina66 · 26/08/2022 02:32

Agreed @Starfishswimmer, loved that little blue pot of pads - I'd even take them in the car so I could take my make up off on the way home after a night out! Most other things leave me with puffy eyes - I've resorted to baby oil soaked on to little muslin circles that I've cut out myself and keep in the old pots now.

Estée Lauder Double Wear
Clinique Cheek Pops
Guerlain Bronzer No 2
Benefit Waterproof Eye Pencil with smudger
Elf eyebrow pencil - only comes in one colour
Huda Lip Pencil
Lip stains Gold lipsticks
Elnett Hairspray

Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion, only thing that keeps eyeshadow on me.

Cerave SA cleanser, only one which stops me getting bacne without stripping skin or leaving it dry. Use it on face too.

Fairly new addition: utan calendula face tan spray. Everyone tells me how healthy and tanned I look and it also seems to prevent me getting spots!

My fave Max Factor mascara, now discontinued and struggling to get it 😔

The UD primer potion is down to £12 on Amazon today!
