What would you buy if you had £200 to spend at Liberty...?

I'm overwhelmed by choice and would love some ideas please.

Obviously price point too low for handbags or clothing but jewellery/beauty and homeware are awash with options.

bracelet

completelyunderwhelmed · 20/08/2022 16:45

Yes, love dinny Hall and already have one of her bracelets (and earrings and necklace....)

Probably the advent calendar ( think it’s a bit more but full of loveliness)

completelyunderwhelmed · 20/08/2022 17:16

Oh forgot about the advent calendar. A gift to my future self.... don't rate my chances of actually getting one though!

Maria Tash piercing… will need topping up too

Rainbowshit · 20/08/2022 18:01

Advent calendar here too. There's not quite as much demand as there was initially so shouldn't be too difficult to get one. They don't sell out immediately like they used to

Anjo2011 · 20/08/2022 18:05

A Margaret Dabbs manicure ( if you are near the store). Some fancy stationary or something from the home department. Diptyque candle or two, make up, skin care, there’s lots to choose from.

TizerorFizz · 20/08/2022 18:12

I like their jewellery. I love the Melissa Joy Manning opal studs. You should get 15% discount if you sign up too. They come down to just over £200 with the discount. There’s other similar brands but Liberty themselves have good gold pendants.

Alternatively look at scarves and accessories. I just love Liberty!!

bravotango · 20/08/2022 18:14

I'd probably get a lamp or something similar? Or the advent calendar, good suggestion

ajandjjmum · 20/08/2022 18:20

Definitely the Advent Calendar!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/08/2022 18:22

I wouldn't get an advent calendar - all that plastic and things you might not like. If you want beauty stuff, just buy two or three big ticket things that you know you like.

When you said at library I thought you meant “to spend on whatever” I didn’t realise it was a specific shop

at liberty is what I meant to type!

Beebumble2 · 20/08/2022 18:59

I’d also buy a liberty scarf

ShaunaTheSheep · 20/08/2022 19:01

I'd buy as many metres of Liberty fabric as I could plus a Christmas bauble.

completelyunderwhelmed · 20/08/2022 19:02

I love the scarves and love Liberty print in general, just not sure I can pull off a scarf/if it would fit with my style.

I have had a Margaret Dabbs pedicure in the past and it was great but I no longer live near enough to pop into store.

I'm thinking about steering away from beauty and getting something that will last....

This was an unexpected gift - so strange that I can't commit when I always have a huge mental wishlist!

Gosh, you can buy Liberty dog poo bags!

The stationery is beautiful!

They've got lovely crockery with spots all over it. Hot Pottery is the make.

speakout · 20/08/2022 19:24

I would sell the gift card.

completelyunderwhelmed · 20/08/2022 19:25

Yes @AmbushedByCake1 love that, was looking at it but slightly put off by it not being dishwasher safe (because I'm lazy). When you dig deep, it's a treasure trove of beautiful things.

They have lovely food hampers reduced at the moment - in cute cases, wicker baskets and bags.

BeaLola · 20/08/2022 20:14

A Diptyque item

Not the advent calendar - just been looking at the contents and not wowed

Dressing gown

Silk scarf

ChilliPB · 20/08/2022 20:22

@completelyunderwhelmed if you’re not in a rush you could wait for seasonal sales - I’ve previously got some clothes for really good prices - like premium brand jeans for £60 and jackets and so on for something like less than 50% of the original price. So that £200 would go quite far!

TizerorFizz · 20/08/2022 21:41

They have just had the sale. A few pieces still reduced. I wouldn’t get beauty products or a candle. Get something that lasts! Jewellery or accessories is better. I bought a Liberty watch in the sale - huge markdown. You just never know what you might find!!
