What would you buy if you had £200 to spend at Liberty...?

I'm overwhelmed by choice and would love some ideas please.

Obviously price point too low for handbags or clothing but jewellery/beauty and homeware are awash with options.

I’ve just seen the Loewe Anagram scarf. That would be my pick. Fantastic selection of sunglasses too.

catsonahottinroof · 20/08/2022 21:59

I've never been to Liberty so don't really know what's available (hope to go soon though). If I did, I'd have to buy fabric so I could make my own dress/accessories.

Scarf
Stationery
Leather card holders/keyholder/ phone case

Earlymenopausesucks · 20/08/2022 22:07

Liberty stock a brand called ‘The Uniform’ who do lovely leather bags at that price point. I have one called ‘the paper’ and the strap can be worn two ways for flexibility.

cataline · 20/08/2022 22:20

I'd buy a Scamp & Dude crossbody bag and one of their maxi dresses.

Crayfishforyou · 20/08/2022 22:37

Half a scarf? 😁
I had £50 to spend at liberty’s once. I bought a metre of beautiful silk and made myself a top.
I was terrified whilst cutting out in case I made a mistake, but I didn’t and it’s lovely.

hattie43 · 20/08/2022 22:50

Diptique perfume

Moonflower12 · 20/08/2022 22:59

If you are going to buy a scarf, choose a classic design ( Hera, Ianthe etc). They hold their price as an investment. The 'Fashion' scarves that only appear for a season- not so much.

TizerorFizz · 21/08/2022 04:04

Loewe is hardly here for a: season! Liberty isn’t Hermes!

Floisme · 21/08/2022 09:59

Fabric. If I wasn't brave enough to make it up myself I'd pay someone (although admittedly that might take me over your budget).

LoveLabradors · 21/08/2022 10:02

At the end of the summer sale I got a beautiful Orion tana lawn dressing gown reduced from £245 to £75 and a stunning silk satin robe in the Liberty fairytale print reduced from £450 to £135. I adore them both - never had “posh” robes before so they are a real upgrade. The silk one feels especially amazing. So if you are prepared to wait for the further reductions in the winter sale your money could go a lot further. Also join up for the Liberty collective loyalty scheme - you will get a £10 voucher for spending that amount I think. The loyalty scheme is good. Disclaimer though I do love Liberty - it is a place of beautiful prints and they make me happy!

LoveLabradors · 21/08/2022 10:04

@Floisme . I am seriously thinking it’s time to learn how to sew - using beautiful fabrics would be a real joy. I have my mum’s old sewing machine but I’ve never used it. I’ve convinced myself it’s too hard and complicated!

Floisme · 21/08/2022 10:12

I won't lie, LoveLabradors, I don't find it easy and I make loads of mistakes. But it's immensely satisfying when you get it even half right.
Your dressing gowns sound beautiful.

mondaytosunday · 21/08/2022 10:52

Oh I love their scarves. I bought two in the sale after Christmas.

theveg · 21/08/2022 10:55

I got the advent calendar last year and there was the most amazing perfume in it- called mango skin. So I'd get a full sized bottle of that.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 21/08/2022 13:54

Fabric to make a beautiful dress.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/08/2022 14:21

I use Aveda and dermalogica so I’d stock up so I don’t get the dread when things run out.

completelyunderwhelmed · 21/08/2022 14:28

I wish I had the skill to do anything with the fabric. I would love a house filled Liberty cushions and lampshades....

I'm still dithering

I'm a stationery junkie so I'd get some gorgeous paper things.

Chersfrozenface · 21/08/2022 14:39

ShaunaTheSheep · 20/08/2022 19:01

I'd buy as many metres of Liberty fabric as I could plus a Christmas bauble.

Are you me?

RobynNora · 21/08/2022 14:48

Lucky you! I'd get a Melin Tregwynt blanket at around £175. Or a Byredo perfume like Sundazed.
