Anyone fancy a good old-fashioned 100 day princessing thread??

i haven’t seen one of these in a while and I need it!!!

I’ve been a bit of a mess since lockdown. Overweight, drinking too much, house a bit of a mess, sleep patterns gone out the window, not much exercise (I do walk the dog but he’s older so it’s more of a gentle stroll).

I want to feel like me again and I like a deadline.

In 103 days it’s 28th November, which is pretty much the start of Christmas. We also have a Center Parcs holiday booked.
Now if you’re Irish (like me), Christmas starts on 25th November (The Late Late Toy Show) so it’s actually 100 days today!

In the past, people would come up with a list of 10? things they want to focus on over the 100 days. I think In the early challenges there used to be 1 list but later ones were more individual with everyone having their own list.

My basics are

  1. 7.5 hours sleep a night (I never seem to get to 8)
  2. 2L water a day
  3. 16:8 fasting
  4. Shower, teeth & wash face daily.
  5. Start back with TOMM cleaning schedule
  6. use Lumea hair removal weekly
  7. deep clean every room
  8. figure out how to deal with my wavy hair
  9. get my eyebrows done
  10. exercise, even just for 10 minutes, everyday.
I might tweak some of these but it’s a starting point.

so anyone else in??

I know I'm also super late to this but having my DS2 who's now 7 months I've sort of lost myself and put on more weight than I'd care to admit.

I haven't worn make up in forever and my hair is permanently scraped back. I live in jogging bottoms. The house is a constant mess and all is seem to do is make the smallest dent in the washing pile!

I need to do something before I go back to work in the new year!

So my commitments

-Find some easy but nice looking 'up dos' and make an effort to do it everyday

-Find a simple but effective 'glamorous' make up routine and not do the school drop off looking like I've just woken up

-in bed by 10pm and try and get back to sleep when baby wakes at 5am!

-Look up TOMM and try and implement a cleaner house initiative!

-Put washing away as soon as it's dry

-Get clothes down for the loft, organise wardrobe and pick out outfit the night before. No new clothes til some weight loss

-Understand various fasting diets and stick to one

-5k steps per day

-One big sort out or 'job' per week done

-Book in and stick to regular hair appointments

Right, I'm now off to read some threads on fasting!

Sorry to join so late

Fell off the princessing waggon a bit as moved house last Friday. New build so very dusty whilst we wait for our floors to come and a bit of a boozy celebratory bank holiday.

Back on it now - had relaxing bath last night and did hair and face masks. Hands and nails are a mess from the move so that’s a job for later.

AnyoneElseFeelDone · 30/08/2022 20:29

Trying to get back in the zone.
Medication and vitamins
Water - not great today
Exercise and catch up with a friend
Washing, ironing and cleaning done.

fallfallfall · 30/08/2022 21:01

week two of nail care going well, i watched a good video on how to shape my nails based on the shape of my cuticles as well as what length for which fingers.
interesting stuff for me, dh not so interested and two best friends equally uninterested ;).
i'm outside washing the travel trailer and wearing gloves...that's a first for me!!

vjg13 · 31/08/2022 07:46

@fallfallfall I'm really interested will you share a link please! I'm trying to get my nails into better condition with nail nurse but am a bit clueless on shape.

PatienceOfEngels · 31/08/2022 10:03

I'm doing great with my initial 4 goals while I try and get my big project finished.
2kg down on 2 weeks ago.
A few more non-fruit/veg snacks creeping in (ice-cream here, cereal bar there) but mostly on track: no evening eating, no alcohol/fizzy drinks and enough water everyday.

Feel so much better though major hayfever today and getting over a UTI.
I can't wait for this project to be over (less than a week) so I can start focusing on getting fit again.

MontalbanoFan · 31/08/2022 12:54

Went off the rails over the bank holiday weekend but back on track now.

Eating lots of fruit, veg and quality protein. Working on my pelvic floor. Going for brisk walks.

Water? Still not enough . . .

Floydthebarber · 31/08/2022 14:21

I just had to scroll back to check what my aims are! Blush

It's been a hectic week, dd2 has been a bit ill, I've been busy, hormonally impatient and for some reason absolutely exhausted. But I have been taking my iron supplement and have just de-haired my legs! They are going to stay smooth. I've been moisturising my feet daily and they are definitely improved.

Sorting and decluttering is going slowly but it is an ongoing project. It's dh who needs to do the most to be honest.

AnyoneElseFeelDone · 31/08/2022 16:17

Better on the water front
Vitamins and medicine done
Food within 16:8 even if not the best choices...getting food shopping tomorrow.
Changed the super king bedding by myself as DH away and normally that's his job.
Quite pleased just to be keeping it together.

Hope everyone else's week is going well. On the plus side it's Thursday tomorrow!

fallfallfall · 31/08/2022 23:03

@vjg13 here is the video that i found helpful.

i'm running a bit behind today, just about to apply my strengthener and it's mid afternoon where i am. i did wear gloves to clean the bathroom (again unheard on in the past) and have been loading up the dishwasher so my hands are not forever washing up.
vjg13 · 01/09/2022 07:36

Thanks @fallfallfall, will definitely try some of those tips. I always saw side to side when shaping my nail even though I know it's damagingBlush

fallfallfall · 01/09/2022 13:45

@vjg13 i’ll get myself a finer emery board, the one I chose is medium/corse.

BeBraveAndBeKind · 01/09/2022 14:13

@fallfallfall The thing that's made the single biggest difference to my nails is using a crystal nail file. (I use a Leighton Denny one from Boots)

Previously my nails would just peel off in layers and be very weak but there has been hardly any peeling since I started using it and the files last for years.

fallfallfall · 01/09/2022 14:45

Thank @BeBraveAndBeKind , I’ll check that out.

fallfallfall · 01/09/2022 17:48

@BeBraveAndBeKind i looked at what i had hidden at the back of drawers and found multiple nail files: glass, metal, course medium and even fine plus some padded buffers...i shall refrain from buying today some were still new and wrapped (usually given to me after a manicure some gifted etc).

BumWeasel · 02/09/2022 08:25

I've been rubbish this last week, but I have successfully stopped biting my nails. I'm keeping up with the hand cream. I've had a really busy week though, so I'm going to use the weekend to reset and plan for next week.

LBB2020 · 02/09/2022 20:30

I haven’t had a great week! I'm going to start again on Monday when school starts and I’m back to work and into routine again!
Well done to everyone else who have stuck to their goals!

declutteringmymind · 02/09/2022 22:30

Hi all. I've lapsed a bit due to illness but
Im back! Ate well today, had a princess bath and did face peel, olaplex, now waiting for my serum to sink in. 14000 steps done.

Did a lot of decluttering too (made way for incoming stuff, already bought) and did most of the uniform labelling.

Keep going everyone !

AnyoneElseFeelDone · 03/09/2022 19:21

Not doing too badly here. Have decided to go GF from Tuesday when the next shop comes which will be hard but will benefit me.

Have a good weekend all!

fallfallfall · 05/09/2022 02:53

week 3 of nail care: no major breaks since i started paying attention (only one edge became jagged on the left index finger). i'm not keen on the shape squoval...and i've just applied nail polish (vs the clear OPI nail envy) and dislike it a lot...
i've begun a bit of a pedicure: worked on my heels, worked on the cuticles and applied a darker polish (than my fingernails which i do like) i injured my right great toenail a few months back and i hope the cuticle oil and massages will help it grow out normally.

AnyoneElseFeelDone · 06/09/2022 14:00

Good going @fallfallfall

I'm not doing brilliantly but my best.

Eating 16/8 most days, vitamins and extra iron, better choices with food. Water!

How is everyone else?

BumWeasel · 06/09/2022 15:25

  4. Drink more water....... Nope
  5. Take daily vitamins/iron....... Nope
  6. Look after my nails..........Yep
  7. Weekly hair and face masks...... Yep
  8. Daily walk or exercise.......... Nope

SquirrelFan · 06/09/2022 21:41

Hello all, it's a tricky time of year, many of us are settling in to new routines!
My 'progress':
-drink more water-yes
-drink alcohol 2x per week - mmm no, maybe 5!
-fit in exercise before work-nope, not gonna happen. Must think about some other way!
-bed by 10:30 unless a special occasion-2/3 nights
-pamper Sundays - face mask, hair mask, foot care, nails - yes!
-10 fruit and vegetables a day - more like 6
-lose 10 lbs - so far that's not happening

So, maybe 2 1/2 out of seven? So far no noticeable improvement - I'll try to persevere and push through!

Floydthebarber · 06/09/2022 22:15

Just epilated my legs again, twice in a week rather than when I ashamed at how hairy they are!

Daily vitamins: yep.

Thought I'd stalled with the decluttering of the house but have put together a bag of uniforms to take to school so I am counting that.

Increased fruit by finding some great strawberries in aldi. Had them nearly a week in the fridge and they are still fresh, just a couple have gone soft.

Feet definitely improved, the difference regular moisturising makes is amazing.

fallfallfall · 06/09/2022 23:53

@Floydthebarber i have an appointment and will not cancel for an upper lip wax BUT after successfully using a sugaring kit (left behind by my dd at least 5 years ago) on my bikini line i'm game to try doing my own upper lip!!
