Am I the only woman in the world who doesn't pluck her eyebrows?

Occasionally I have a panic attack and worry everyone's laughing at my decidedly bushy, unkept brows. It's not that plucking them hurts, though of course it does, but I'm not very good at doing it and it always looks rubbish. Oh and I don't colour my hair either. I asked my hairdresser if everyone else did and she said, yes, they do.....

I don't understand why people pluck their eyebrows - I think those thin single lines of hair that I see from time to time look far more unsightly than 'au naturelle'

Apparently threading is meant to be really good. HAs anyone had that done?

I pluck my eyebrows-I would look scary if I didn't

plus, it's therapeutic

i get mine waxed - so much easier, and need to have my hair dyed blonde as my natural colour is to dark for my skin colour. i was alot darker when younger grew out of it as i aged!!

I don't have any eyebrows, either. Mine also fell out a couple of years ago and have never really grown back. They used to be thick and dark, and I never plucked. I really liked my eyebrows, and miss them so much now. My face looks inomplete without them .

i dont.ive never tried it.im a wimp and would be scared of looking those those gone wrong people with odd eyebrows

TheBlonde · 22/01/2008 14:01

I pluck and always judge those with huge brows!! it hurt the first time but after that it is fine
I find it quite relaxing now

I'm trying to grow mine a bit bigger but it's very hard

I LOVE plucking my eyebrows and try to do it most days - amazing how a hair can just appear overnight sometimes!! Having lovely shaped eyebrows can make soooo much difference to your face. I am not talking about silly thin lines - just a lovely shaped arch.

I have to say the eyebrow plucking is just as addictive as mumsnet though so be warned

Clary · 22/01/2008 14:13

gosh yes I pluck mine all the time.

Where do those hairs come from??

I have black black eyebrow and eyelash hair tho so it's a must. Agree beauty salon waxing and plucking is the beezneez, I go everty so often to get mine thinned out and shaped, then just tidy up on the shape they have done.

furrycat do go to a salon, it's an eye-opener (ie makes your face/eyes look so much more open). Pain? I don't find it painful actually but have been doing mine for YEARS.

I don't - not because it might hurt, or because I don't have the time - but because I simply have no inclination to do so. The same reason I don't wear make-up.
