Face makeup on holiday

Do you wear foundation/bb cream when your on holiday?
Have seen lots of instagrammers/influencers online doing full faces of makeup when they are on holiday abroad. I can't think of anything worse as I just imagine it running off me when I'm sweating!!!

No, I take concealer/bronzing powder/lipstick/eyeliner/mascara/one eye shadow.

No. Just do eyebrows and waterproof mascara. But then I don't actually own any foundation!

I’m in Spain now, even lipstick feels like a chore. I’m so sweaty a full face of make up would end up in a puddle between my boobs (obviously I’m not an Instagrammer & god help Instagram if I was😂)

No. At a push I might put on some concealer/redness corrector if the heat made my rosacea flare up but otherwise I only ever wear mascara and maybe a bit of bronzer in the evening.

Absolutely not! A bit of mascara and that's your lot. My skin looks amazing with a bit of a tan and natural glow. I'd ruin it with BB cream or foundation 😂

Minimal but if you like coverage Nars new Light Reflecting foundation wild it but is still thin. You can go on Youtube and search for holiday make up and get great advice. A setting spray like Skindinavia Bridal make up will set any make up and keep it on no matter the temp.

If you need full coverage Estee Lauder Maximum Coverage will stay on in the actual jungle.

I use an Origins tinted moisturiser. It's spf 40. It absorbs well.

Since I have bought it I have not used foundation at all.

I can layer it up and add powder, blusher etc.

Fake tan on my face and some lipstick in the evening. I can't bear to wear make up in hot weather.

Luckily I have dark eyes, dark eyelashes and dark eyebrows so I don't need any eye make up.

Have your lashes and eyebrows dyed before you set off. Fake tan on your face to start.

Lipstick in the evenings if you must.

Not during the day… or most evenings. Basically only if I was on a ‘date’ sort of evening with DH and wanted to look a bit nicer/more done and then only a tinted moisturiser, nothing heavy.

Yes I always wear makeup on the sun. I couldn’t imagine going out in an evening with a bare face. I do wear more gel/cream products to look more fresh. My summer makeup for here and abroad is

factor 50
complexion balm (Hermes Plein Air)
cream bronzer (Charlotte T)
tiny bit of powder to set t-zone.
liquid blush (Charlotte T Pinkgasm)
liquid highlighter (Charlotte T)

then a light eye makeup as I have lashes done although very natural ones. Brows are done I just use brow gel and a fine tip brow pen to fill any gaps then lipstick and gloss.

Tinted moisturiser is my go to on holiday. Will use bb cream if I'm feeling the need for a little more coverage.

I wear illuminator, eyebrows and mascara for the evening to boost that holiday glow. I don't bother in the day times.

I live in a very humid area, at most I'll wear tinted moisturizer on an evening, never foundation. I get my lashes tinted and I'll use an eye pencil, quick sweep of blush and maybe a lip gloss if I'm feeling really fancy!

Yes always wear it. I use half double wear, half Charlotte tilbury flawless filter mixed together when on holiday, liquid blush, waterproof mascara and a good spray with urban decay all nighter. I don’t really sit in the sun though

For me (nights only) it's JML mineral magic, a touch of bronzer and lip balm and I'm good to go. I don't bother with any eyebrow/lash/shadow/mascara stuff. I just want to look a bit glowy. Works perfectly for me.
Anything like BB, or any cream based stuff would just slide off in the heat.

Do you go swimming with all of that on your face?

Not really. I tint eyebrows and eyelashes before I leave and wear ultrasun spf 50 tinted fluid in the day. Its a profer spf but the tint is a pick me up. In the evening I will use a bronzer (Guerlain or Hourglass) and a coral lipbalm. So the only products I'd bring is bronzer and tinted lipbalm.

Lashes and brows tinted before going on holiday and that’s it. Depending on where I am, I may put on a bit of lippy in the evening, but mostly not!

Out to dinner in the evening, yes, but only light - no heavy foundation etc.

During the day absolutely nothing. Sunscreen and big shades. No gunk on my face.

Sounds like I'm not on my own then !!
I usually wear a bit of cream blush, some eyeliner and mascara and lippy but only in the evenings if I want to feel dressed up.

Nothing in the day apart from lip balm.
At Night- tinted moisturiser, bronzer, brow pencil, mascara, lip balm.
Always nail polish on toes and fingers.

During the day nothing except sun cream.

The first couple of nights I use bb cream or a really lightweight foundation with bronzer and all my other bits and pieces. Once my face has a bit of colour even though I wear factor 50 and try to stay in the shade ditch the bb cream and foundation and use Chanel les beiges bronzing cream as my base
