Money no object.

I'm a bit bored and just thought of this.

What would you buy if money was no object? What do you lust after? I mean really no object, like you'd won £180 million on euro billions or something.

I reckon there are probably many objects, brands etc I've never heard of as they've not for the likes of me. Grin

Grin lol - I'm busty and curvy. I'd like to pay Vivienne Westwood to make me a whole wardrobe of black dresses.
glamourousindierockandroll · 08/08/2022 20:11

Proper skincare from Drunk Elephant and the like.

A personal stylist with brands like COS.

I'd appoint a 'Fatness Tsar' to make me thin.

LeeMiller · 08/08/2022 21:30

I’d pay a stylist or expert to go to all the fancy vintage boutiques and find me some amazing glam pieces: 1970s jumpsuits, suits and maxi dresses,1930s bias cut silk dresses, and so on.

I’d get a tailor to make me some bespoke blazers, suits and coats, I’m petite and can never find anything I really love that fits. Also, I’d have copies made of some of my favourite clothes that are falling apart, or in different fabrics/colours - I did this with a silk jacket last year and it was so worth it but I can’t afford to do everything I’d like.

I’d pay for a laundry and pressing service.
amazing skincare, frequent hair appointments, a home Pilates studio and trainer….

I still want this watch
www.omegawatches.com/en-gb/watch-omega-constellation-co-axial-master-chronometer-29-mm-13155292099002
then I would buy more than a few amazing rings
personal chef/dietitian would be high up
there too

SILdidittoo · 08/08/2022 22:56

I'd go to a high-end shop wearing my usual scruffs, and see if I can have a Pretty Woman moment.
Big mistake, huge!

MacKenzieMcHale · 08/08/2022 22:58

I'd have someone on retainer to do my hair and make up every morning.

I'd get my roots done twice as often as I do now!

I'd have quality shoes, not bloody Tesco boots for the winter.

I'd have proper jewellery and a range of perfumes to choose from.

Oh I love a fun thread like this.

I would go to a personal shopper and ask for help. DH has suggested this before but I don’t think I spend enough at the moment to make it worth the shopper’s time.
Holiday clothes, I’m away at the moment and my clothing is fine, functional, sensible but not very exciting. It always seems wrong to spend a fortune on clothing that only gets worn for a fortnight a year.

Work clothing, I’d keep low-key styles but have trousers made for me so that they actually fit instead of my current “that will do” wardrobe.

A Kelly bag. In red.

superplumb · 09/08/2022 18:04

Blank cheque to a surgeon and tell them to start at the head and work down
Decent material clothing, tailored to me
Decent designer handbags
Nice dainty but expensive jewellery
Regular facials, mani and pedi. Laser hair removal top hair salon with some extensions, sort my teeth out, lose a load of weight and get a chef to cook for me all the time...oh and nannies, a whole army so the stress of kids doesnt show in my new face

LondonLovie · 09/08/2022 18:13

I would have my own hairdresser that came and styled me hair on 'demand' (reasonable demand of course!)

Full body laser & some toning tightening on my lower body.. whatever the options are!

I would probably, pretty much Chuck out most of my wardrobe and have a personal shopper fill it with a gorgeous capsule wardrobe.

Then I would literally go on permanent holidays

ThickCutSteakChips · 09/08/2022 18:28

Chanel Classic Flap - I know people think they are naff but I've always wanted one!
Chef and personal trainer to kick my fat arse.
Hairdresser on call to keep my grey hair in check with expertly placed highlights at all times.
Lots of spa treatments, facials, massages, lash lift, waxing etc. I don't think I would go in for botox and filler even if I had the money, especially if I had the money actually, because I think it's even more likely then that I would over do it.
I probably wouldn't wear designer much, I don't have the shape for it (short, big bum pear shape), but I would buy lots of Sophia Webster shoes, and stuff off Etsy shops like Woowoo Boutique that are out of my price range now for things so frivolous!

ThickCutSteakChips · 09/08/2022 18:53

I would also have Diptyque candles everywhere throughout my house. I was once in the home of someone very wealthy and she had a huge stock of Diptyque candles stacked up in her utility room, the way other people might have bog rolls stored!

ThisWasMeTooo · 09/08/2022 19:37

Apart from the houses, cars blah blah I would have a permanent live in person who did my make up, hair, massage me whenever. I would also have the most amazing walk in wardrobe with an array of things like e.g every colour in a cashmere sweater that I like , a particular shoe etc. I would also have fresh sheets on my bed every single day. I would have a personal chef. I wouldn't have any cosmetic surgery but I would indulge in the best non invasive treatments out there.

learieonthewildmoor · 09/08/2022 19:39

Silk nighties

Cheesecakeandwineinasuitcase · 09/08/2022 19:44

Regular hair treatments, cut and colour. I would pay to get my hair styled for special occasions. Botox, maybe a little bit of lip filler. Expensive makeup. Clothes tailored to fit me. A personal trainer and my own home gym to work out in. A nutritionist. Definitely a Dyson hair wrap. My mum has one and it’s lovely.

Don't remember what her "money no object" or not status was at the time but does anyone remember seeing Ruby Wax interviewing Sarah Ferguson when they went through her clothes drawers? Seem to remember she had drawers of tops with the contents colour on them? So a drawer of red tops with "red" on them for eg. She said it was because she was so busy. Fascinating! But the drawer labels were post it notes which was a bit disappointing. Grin

I love threads like this.

I would hire a chef, loose weight and learn to cook properly
Get a personal shopper. Not necessarily to buy designer, just clothes that fit and suit me.
I would blow some of it on jewellery and handbags
made to measure bras
laser hair removal
good hair cut
good skin care without thinking I can only afford Superdrug
take my closest friends away for the weekend to a spa hotel with lots of treatments.
good make up and possibly my own glam squad.
