Help styling a dress please?

I have bought this dress which i love for a wedding soon - but I'm not sure about shoes and handbag etc. My initial thoughts were to go with nude but it seems so dull! What colours would work with it please? I can't really wear jewellery so can't dress it up that way, so hoping shoes and bag can make it look 'together' Thanks!

Pink was my first thought. Would need to see it against various shades to pick. I love pink and green.
Or gold.
Red could work too

HerRoyalHappiness · 23/07/2022 18:52

My first thought was yellow. A nice bright yellow 💛

LoisPlane · 23/07/2022 18:55

Pink, gold, silver or nude.

Personally I think red or yellow would be a bit much.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 23/07/2022 19:38

Thanks all I considered red and yellow but not sure if it would make me look like a toddler Grin Pink may work so I'll look at that. I'm sure gold and silver would but just not my style unfortunately.

Oh I love them but would it be a bit ott? Would need lower heels but really like the idea of that

Pink is amazing with green. A hot pink or a pale pink. Alternatively burnished orange, or lilac.

Palamon · 23/07/2022 20:25

Love those sandals, but do not match your bag!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/07/2022 20:41

Not red - would look like a Christmas elf.
Not yellow.

A dusty pink would be lovely, with a pale or brighter pink for the bag (not the same colour)

Gorgeous dress.

Personally with a lovey green dress like that I wouldn't play it safe with muted colours but each to their own. I absolutely adore Esska sandals and have a beautiful multi coloured pair myself, I think go bold with the shoes. They do a dark orange/rust colour in the same style which would also look fab with your green dress. I was oblivious to the fact you shouldn't match a handbag with shoes so ignore me on that one Confused

HolidayPleeease · 23/07/2022 22:05

Hot pink! - also very on trend

catwithflowers · 23/07/2022 22:13

Love the dress 😃

Steelandsparkles · 23/07/2022 22:13

a friend of mine who is a stylist wore a dress that colour with leopard print heels and it looked fantastic.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 23/07/2022 22:13

I'm pretty much decided against muted colours so will look into hot pink, or possibly yellow. I remember falling in love with some multi coloured wedge sandals a few years ago but never getting around to buying them, unfortunately Google isn't helping me find anything similar!

Leopard print heels same style as the yellow above plus a hot pink bag

eekyeeky · 23/07/2022 22:38

I would do leopard print & a colour so either print shoes & a yellow clutch or orange shoes & print bag. Platforms are the new shoe style.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/07/2022 22:52

Yes, leopard print shoes would be great.

knackeredagain · 23/07/2022 22:55

I was going to say navy but now I’ve seen leopard I’m loving that idea. If you’re after muted, navy would be a nicer option than nude.

Bag

Is there a colour theme for the wedding? (Invitation might give a hint) I’d be inclined to pick something that won’t completely clash with the wedding party.

Leopard print shoes with an orange bag could be good?

EnglishGirlApproximately · 23/07/2022 23:55

No colour theme and very much a small, relaxed family event due to a recent bereavement. Hence the dress being fairly casual which is fine as I'll wear it again which is a bonus.
I'm liking the idea of leopard print a lot, I'd never have thought of that at all!
