The races was brilliant yesterday! My first time & had so much fun. Open bar, lots of food & I didn’t lose any money 😂

Today I’m back in the cold air conditioned office cuddling a hot water bottle.

Whew, what a week! Central Edinburgh was quite erm, challenging, this week but things are settling down now. Staff shortages are not helping. Dress from Blackburd and very old shoes from Love Moschino.

reviews say to size up, did you need to?

@Softpebbles - I agree with the reviews. Size up. I’m wearing size 10 regular in the photo. Nearly all my other M&S trousers are size 8.

I think they bunch up slightly oddly around my bum, and the length doesn’t seem quite right.

I have found recently in M&S I have had to size up in all the jeans/trousers. Very odd, I think I mentioned it before. I haven't put on any weight.

Formal work dinner for me tonight....didn't know if it was black tie or not but thankfully I seemed to blend in ok!

Should have been my last day in Spain today but the airline has cancelled my flight and there are no direct flights until tomorrow so whilst annoying to have to change weekend plans, I'm actually looking forward to having an afternoon and evening to myself here, planning on finding a lovely spot for some pinxos, a glass of cava and people watching later this evening.

I love them @OublietteBravo @EllaPaella when I went to Norwich I tried on about 8 pairs of M&S trousers and nine in my usual size fitted! It was a shock. I have put on weight but my waist is the same and I can fit into all my jeans still. I think my weight has finally redistributed but it was a bit of a downer. Wonder if they've changed their toule?

It’s chilly! I took a hot pack to bed last night and we had all the windows closed for the first time in months. Sad
I watched ‘morning glory’ with DD yesterday ( romcom tosh) and am now heavily into Diane Keaton and Rachel McAdams shirts. Very easily influenced, me. I really miss dressing in suits for work.
i ordered three shirts/ blouses from Sézane assuming I would send 2 back. Unfortunately I love them all. Damn.

I've fallen off the thread as my nephew got married, my children have gone to university and ive done my race. Ive still been clinging on to summer clothes as we have at least 6 months of winter ahead of us. Sounds as if the work trip went well @Cardigansalltheway. I'm very impressed with your wardrobe especially as you took hand luggage only. Here's a selection of recent outfits. Dress warehouse, cardigan fat face.

I do want to change my normal outfits up a bit, but have also come to the conclusion that I always default back to jeans and a shirt because that’s what suits my lifestyle, and it’s what I’m comfortable in. So I’m trying to add some variety to that basic combo. The mornings here are chilly now so I’ve been layering up, but then the afternoons are still really warm and I’m ending up red-faced and clammy on the snacking pickup! So I’m trying to strike a better balance today.

I fell off this thread a year ago but would love to rejoin especially as I have lost 20lb and can now fit into this dress!

Please suggest footwear though. I have nothing suitable. No black boots. Maybe black trainers but they are v scruffy.
