Are these too young for me?
I've put pics from the site and my pics

Dd says the red top is for a 19 year old
She likes the spotty one but I would have to wear a bra. Would nude work?

Or should I just stick to what I know
Dd persuaded me that I could wear high waist jeans and a crop top at 47!!!!

Honestly on one hand I believe you should wear what you want at any age and who cares about the negative judgement from others. On the other hand they look like cheap clothes a teen would wear and I don’t think they look great on someone knocking fifty,

I think you can do sexy whilst keeping it classy, you don’t need to go for cheap teenage clothes, but if you like it then go for it.

Definitely keep the jeans OP, they look like they fit well and are far nicer than skinnies.

The tops aren't doing much for me, the fabrics look a bit cheap and just aren't necessarily working. The spotted top is by far the nicer of the two. I don't think it's necessarily to do with age in the respect that you look to old for them- you have a great figure, more that the tops themselves look more like something you'd pick up cheaply if you were much younger.

I could see the spotted top looking much nicer with a very high waisted pair of tailored trousers. For those jeans I think it's a bit too cropped but again that's the style, not your figure.

I agree with your first sentence. I also think the 'negative judgement of others' about the outfit would exist outside of MN. Very few people in RL are going to look at a woman wearing a harmless summer top and jeans, and start banging on about whether she looks 'cheap' or 'classy', or that she's 'knocking 50', or any of that other spiteful mysogynist nonsense about what sort of 'sexy' a woman should be at any given age.

Thank you for so many positive comments about my figure, I don't feel that great about it so that's lovely.

The jeans are high waisted, just didn't have a belt on. Have lots of skinny jeans and a lovely pair of flares so was just looking for another style, casual to wear to the pub with a naice top

I've sent both of the tops back, I think if you have to ask then they're probably not right

Not necessarily OP. Moving outside of our comfort zone has most of us questioning, as we get used to seeing ourselves a certain way. Doesn't mean we're wrong, just not confident. With your figure you'd make pretty much anything look good.

You look fab. Definitely don't give up on the idea even though the tops went back! I can't go braless ever so keep a brightly coloured, plain, crop top style sports bra for under certain tops. So it looks intentional rather than trying to hide it.

Jeans are great, spotty top looks nice but would need to work out bra issue, less keen on the other top.
