Are these too young for me?
I've put pics from the site and my pics

Dd says the red top is for a 19 year old
She likes the spotty one but I would have to wear a bra. Would nude work?

Or should I just stick to what I know
Dd persuaded me that I could wear high waist jeans and a crop top at 47!!!!

I'm so shocked tk see negative responses! I think they both look absolutely amazing! You look lovely in both of them, I'm jealous! And I genuinely like them both too, but they look much better on you than they would on me.

Love the jeans, can you send the link, where do I buy crop tops that just skim the top of my jeans or skirts, most of mine are too long.

If you like them and feel comfortable, wear them! Who cares what others think. I'm size 16/18 and love wearing drops and jeans :)

I really like the first top, the second is a bit too fussy even for a slim figure like yours. The jeans are great though.

Your jeans & stomach look great.
You can definitely wear cropped tops but maybe plainer ones would be a little better.
Like the white/black jersey cropped vest or bralette under a linen shirt type thing.

In a nice way you're quite busty so I think these make your boobs look gigantic - not a bad thing but just to be mindful of.

I wear lots of crop top but I have my jeans come higher than yours and more fitted round my bum

I would say they are okay but I bet you have outfits that look fab rather than okay

If you want to keep spotty one you can wrap the tie around your bra to hide it

I like the jeans and the spotty top. Think it looks great. Can you use boob tape instead of a bra?

Or get one of those low backed bras that wraps round the waist, not the ribs.

I like the back of the spotty top (minus bra) but don't like the front. It looks too fussy with the ruching, long sleeves and cuffs.

I'd take DD's advice here, as she is basically saying you look like mutton dressed as lamb and personally I don't want that. I'd rather go for stuff that suits my age. I've started getting much more elegant and classic things into my wardrobe. I wear a lot of skirts and t-shirts now, it's a nice mix of classic and modern and it suits me.

I get some direction from Instagrammers, women above 40 who are wealthy and show off really nice styles. You don't have to spend the same but you can achieve the same look off the high street.

I'm 40 and look very young and I would probably not wear the red one. I think the brown one is okay, more classic.

Neither of them look young to me. Just summery tops for anyone who suits that style (which you do!) How old is DD? If she's late teens/early 20s, you're probably much better guided by her, as MN often favours the very discreet and conservative and takes an unnecessarily firm stance on age propriety.

I'm not keen on the jeans, they remind me of the low cut bootcut ones of the late 90's/early 2000's.
I think both tops look nice on you, they would look good with high waist jeans. I'm not keen on the chest shape of the spotty one but a bra might improve that. I like the red one. I think you can carry them off, you have a great figure!

You look great but those tops are really not flattering, cheap and dated styling. The jeans are a good look though, you could pair it with a black or white crop top and it would be a much better look.

I've just read through the rest of the comments. There is nothing even slightly trashy about the tops and jeans. They're literally casual summery outfits and the style is very 'in' atm.

Also, I don't get all the 'not flattering' comments. I need someone to point out exactly what isn't flattering in order to understand as I reckon the OP could get away with wearing pretty much anything.

Definitely not 'too young' you look amazing! I'm not a massive fan of the tops (personal preference) but they look lovely on you, so do the jeans!
