M & S Summer Beauty Bag

I received an email this morning to say it’s out. It looks pretty good and is £25 (they say it’s worth £160) with a £30 spend on clothing. I have been meaning to buy some jeans for ages, so took the plunge. Anyone else?

I bought it in the end

DSGR · 01/06/2022 21:08

i use the Aveda religiously as it tames my hair so it’s a big thumbs up from me. Needed school stuff for the kids anyway

Mrcpy · 02/06/2022 07:28

I ordered this because I needed a couple of belts from M&S. £25 for £160 worth of products sounds like an amazing deal, but upon reflection, £25 for stuff I didn’t know I needed is still quite a lot 😅 I’m looking forward to it though, it’s the first time I’ve bought one of these.

Fallulah · 02/06/2022 11:15

I got suckered in to buying this yesterday as I had spent over £30 and it seemed really good value. I now see why I usually look a bit rough round the edges if I’m supposed to be using all these oils, arm cream, leg cream etc! The coconut perfume is delicious though and I will definitely use the lip crayon and hair bits.

I have two items of clothing that I need to return - I will still have spent £30 but some of that on mens things. Does spending on mens things count? I hope so as it just said clothing, home and beauty on the offer and I don’t want to end up having to pay the £160 for the beauty bag!

woodhill · 02/06/2022 11:19

I'm so cross, they now send me a 15% off voucher, I'm tempted to take the other stuff back but keep the bag, can I do this

I will order stuff with 15% off

Pandorapitstop · 02/06/2022 15:08

Fallulah, see if it says "beauty bag" on website photo of the men's items you bought.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 02/06/2022 17:54

@Fallulah the mens stuff I have clicked on seems to link to the offer, so yes. @woodhill I think people have done this before with advent calendar deals, without incident, unless things have changed.

Itsanewme · 02/06/2022 18:47

Hi they can't take beauty products back as a return. So you can still keep the bag if you have to make a return.

woodhill · 02/06/2022 18:52

Thanks

AnnieSnap · 02/06/2022 20:02

Good to know @Itsanewme 👍

I bought an eye cream I use anyway so I'd spend the £30. For me the beauty bag is worth the £25 as I love the Aveda leave in conditioner that's in it and that is £30 on its own.

Arm cream made me lol though!

greatblueheron · 07/06/2022 00:00

I bought the beauty bag because I was ordering something that tipped me over the £30 mark AND included another free gift. The Aveda product alone makes it worth it for me; love their leave in conditioners etc. Grin Arrived today.

AnnieSnap · 07/06/2022 01:26

Mine arrived today. So far I have only tried the perfume. It’s lovely and I would never have bought it alone! I’m really pleased with the contents. That said, I doubt the ‘special’ cream will make any difference to my ageing upper arms 😂🤣

@AnnieSnap please update us if your arms suddenly turn very youthful! Grin

I bought the bag as DD uses the Aveda and had run out. I needed some curtains and other stuff from M&S anyway. The coconut perfume is too sweet for me but DD loves it - she also had the nail varnish and lip gloss as I wouldn't wear anything that bright!

I use the Clinique moisturiser so the travel size is useful. The arm cream is pointless as I can't use it with HRT gel.

So far I like the texture of the eye cream and the Nuxe oil smells lovely. Not tried the Emma Hardie spray yet. Has anyone tried it? I would have liked a sun care product in the bag e.g Ultrasun stuff ideally!

LOL! In that parallel universe 😂🤣

@LookdeepintotheParka I have tried the facial spray and I’m surprised that I really like it. I have tried others in the past and found them a waste of time. This one though feels fresh, but also a little moisturising. I loved the Emma Hardie face wash balm stuff in the advent calendar too and I have a sample of her moisturising hand sanitiser, which is much better than others. So I guess it’s a good range of products.

I’m quite happy with the summer bag. Haven’t tried everything yet, but the Clinique moisturiser and facial mist are good. I don’t like the coconut fragrance. The upper arm cream is surprisingly pleasant! - I wouldn’t buy it, but I’m enjoying using it.

Mrcpy · 08/06/2022 14:23

Can I ask. What do you do with the hair oil? I applied a small amount to the tips of my hair and now it looks greasy. Was I supposed to apply it to damp or dry hair?

😂❤

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 08/06/2022 14:31

@Mrcpy with another hair oil, I rub a very small amount into my hands, and apply it mid section to ends, then the remainder through the hair nearer to my head. I do it on damp hair, but have curly dryish/coloured hair, which may be more receptive to it.

AnnieSnap · 08/06/2022 18:43

OMG look what the upper arm cream accomplished 😮😂🤣
