Is this too long? Late twenties?

Is this too long for someone going on 30? I feel like long hair is more a teen thing these days and shorter hair has been embraced? How short should I take it?

God yes, knocking on 30?? Geez you are ancient, what do you think you are doing having long hair?? (Clutches at pearls)

🤣

That's what my mother would have said exactly, down to the pearl clutching. We managed to persuade her, in recent years, it was just fine to have her hair at shoulder length, rather than the short bob she'd had since her 20s.

Tryhard40 · 31/05/2022 21:30

OP and Spaceprincess I LOVE your hair.

Im 40 and have hair the same length as yours OP. I love it and have no plans to cut it as long as my arms have strength enough to blow dry/brush it!

I think it's a fallacy that long hair is ageing - short hair/bobs are more ageing IMO.

OP don't be a silly billy, you are young and your hair is lovely.
A close friend of mine is 65 and has waist length hair.

indoorplantqueen · 01/06/2022 07:40

I'm nearly 40 and my hair is slightly longer. I keep toying with getting it cut but everyone (including hairdresser) says I'm so young 🤣 and that it suits me long, so it's staying for another while!

Thatswhyimacat · 01/06/2022 09:42

I felt like you OP and cut off my long hair, I'm now desperately trying to grow it back as it's so ageing on me.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 01/06/2022 09:44

I had hair like that in my early to mid 40's (not same colour but still blonde). It looked lovely too.

Keep it anyway you like.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 01/06/2022 09:46

The only thing I might say, as guessing not your natural colour, is maybe look at changing that a bit. Some people do think long blonde hair is a bit girlish.

But it looks nice on you.

valerianaofficiana · 01/06/2022 11:19

Lovely hair!
I fully advocate women, men, anyone wearing whatever makes them happy and age has nothing to do with it, but there's something very 'nun-like'🙄 or spinsterish ( I know it's a horrid way to refer to women but it does conjure up the image I have in mind, sorry) when hair is too long.
Longer than OPs, waist length and longer.

ArabeI · 01/06/2022 11:25

Spinsterish? I haven't heard that term for a long time!
