A slim-fitting black t-shirt and black biker or blazer.

In winter, swap the t-shirt for a jumper.

Whoatealltheminieggs · 07/05/2022 20:44

A black body suit in winter, a neutral one in spring/ summer

coffeetofunction · 07/05/2022 20:48

Black ankle boots or chunky Sandles. Nice/bands/over size t-shirt.

EmmaStone · 07/05/2022 22:08

Either a fitted black or white T, or a cropped boxy one for summer with Birkenstocks.

Black polo neck, tights and boots in winter.

I've already created looks from my wardrobe for this skirt now, it's cool!

LovelyYellowLabrador · 07/05/2022 22:28

I don’t think I could pull off a black biker Jacket as black doenst suit me that great so I can’t imagine black leather would im wondering if maybe I should order a green leopard print wrap dress instead …..

White vest and blazer. ? If you don't like black ?

LovelyYellowLabrador · 08/05/2022 00:00

I did think maybe a white top

i know the pics aren’t great but there’s actually no black on the skirt it’s just different shades of green

thanks everyone for the ideas
Guess this is way out of my comfort zone !!

I'm not sure I'd start with a green leopard print tho'.

EmmaStone · 08/05/2022 07:50

Looks like they've styled with brown, if you're not keen on black. Or find a green top that coordinates as well?

LovelyYellowLabrador · 08/05/2022 09:03

Yeah maybe 🙈🙈
indid think maybe a dark green top

a blazer etc might be a bit much for me considering am often in jeans and trainers

I much prefer the skirt to the jumpsuit or dress, OP, it's lovely - I'm quite tempted to buy it!

It's not a really bright green so I think it'll go with quite a few colours, not just neutrals. I'd probably wear it with a pale coloured oversized t-shirt partially tucked in and chunky sandals at this time of year. Winter, I'd wear it with DMs and a chunky roll neck - again, any neutral colour really but also some jewel tones or pastels might work.

balalake · 08/05/2022 09:30

Definitely ankle boots, not sure about which top, may depend on your shape.

oviraptor21 · 08/05/2022 09:35

Khaki faux military style jacket?

gunnersgold · 08/05/2022 12:01

I would wear a soft casual white blazer with a vest and white pumps or hi tops to keep it casual and some nice jewellery .

lesgalettes · 08/05/2022 12:07

I've got a similar skirt and wear it with a white T shirt tucked in and white trainers.

LovelyYellowLabrador · 08/05/2022 16:47

Thanks for all the ideas, you guys are making me think how many gaps I have in my wardrobe
I don’t even have any blazers
white or black
I’m going to order some new white trainers/pumps when I decide which one

i think o might try it with a ticked in white tee and white trainers

what Do you think to the advice trinny and Susanana used to give about not wearing colour and black ? Is that really old fashioned now ?

OP posts:
ShirleyJackson · 09/05/2022 04:26

I do bear it in mind, I don’t go for the default black trousers and a bright top option. I tend to feel cut in half, and almost as if I’ve deleted my legs, if that makes any sense at all.

I will mix it up and do bright bottom half and a black top, though.

mowglika · 09/05/2022 08:15

Nice skirt! I would wear it with an oversized cream jumper or a slim fit tucked in tshirt with an open shirt over the top.

Plimsolls/trainers/sandals depending on weather
