Does anyone have any experience of eyelid surgery with Mr Joshi? Although I can only find good things about him online, there are no reviews or before and afters. TIA

hi, did you get any feedback or decide to go with Mr Joshi? I’m trying to decide too so any recommendations would be good. Thanks

EllieEmm · 27/03/2023 10:25

Yes ! I am 20 days post surgery and absolutely delighted so far . I did a lot of research and Mr J came out on top . I then had a consultation with him and felt completely reassured by him and confident that he was the man for the job . That’s not to say that I wasn’t nervous , but I knew I wanted it done , and I knew he was extremely well regarded and that I couldn’t be in safer hands . So I booked in for surgery , and couldn’t be happier . I’m still healing , but have reached the stage where I can go out in public and get away with it , and it’s looking better every day . So, ask away - I’m happy to answer any questions 😊

@EllieEmm that's amazing, thank you so much for sharing. Did you have both upper and lower done and would you mind sharing how much it cost? Also would you comfortable posting before and after pics? It would be great to see your results! x

Se1zetheday · 27/03/2023 17:15

I’m really interested in the pics too as I’m still considering it. I really want to get it done but so far have been too nervous to book!

You’re at the stage you can ‘go out and get away with it’ - what do you mean? Bruising? Bleeding?

EllieEmm · 27/03/2023 18:29

Absolutely no bruising at all , ever , and no bleeding . To begin with very red and swollen eyelids , initially only able to be disguised by sunglasses , but by about day 8 normal reading glasses were covering up very well too . Tbh if people don’t know you’ve had it done , they’re not looking for it . The scar is in the eyelid crease which is why once the redness goes , the rim of normal specs ( depending on the size of the specs ) pretty much lines up with it and disguises it . And no pain whatsoever , I didn’t even take a paracetamol once 😊

EllieEmm · 28/03/2023 07:23

To Se1zethe day and Forestlilac upper Blepharoplasty only . And I will happily post pictures in a few weeks once I have the full effect . But looking good so far . Sauvignonplonk1, I have pm’d you back xxx

ForestLilac · 28/03/2023 14:18

Do you know if you can wear contact lenses straight away? I’m guessing not?

And yes I’d love to see before/after pictures on here or via pm, whatever you’re comfortable with.

What was the rough price?

EllieEmm · 29/03/2023 06:51

I don’t wear contact lenses myself but no , if I remember correctly from all the post op instructions, you need to wait at least a couple of weeks . The cost was , all in , £8,400 . About a third of that was for the hospital and the anaesthetist. xxx

ForestLilac · 30/03/2023 19:21

Ouch, that’s a lot of money!

Se1zetheday · 31/03/2023 10:05

EllieEmm I’ve sent you a pm

FurnitureFriend · 22/04/2023 14:47

Hi Ive been reading all your posts and I too want this done. I’m plucking up courage for consultation but would you mind sharing the before and after photos with me too? I can find no reviews on line either. Thank you if you can help x

Hi FurnitureFriend . No problem . My mum has been in hospital so I’ve been a bit distracted ,but I’ll sort out photos tomorrow for yourself and the other lady who has been in touch 👍👍

FurnitureFriend · 25/04/2023 06:39

Thank you so much and I hope your mum is ok. Best wishes Jane x

Se1zetheday · 25/04/2023 13:10

Looks like a few of us are considering surgery. I’m interested to chat to others in this situation and follow how people get on. I have been thinking about it for a few years and had one consultation. Just trying to pluck up the courage to actually book it !

FurnitureFriend · 25/04/2023 20:06

were you not happy with the consultation you had? Xxx

Se1zetheday · 26/04/2023 20:04

Yes, I was happy with the consultation but the risks still worry me so I’m nervous to book! If it was anywhere else I’d have booked by now, it’s just because it’s my eyes that I’m nervous. That’s why I’m trying to find people who have had it done

EllieEmm · 10/05/2023 06:18

Hi ladies . Sincere apologies for the delay . As I mentioned before, my mum has been unwell and was in hospital for a couple of weeks , but home now and back to normal. So , FINALLY , a before and after photo . I am still healing , and I think I have been slower than most because I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic cream , but I can definitely see the benefits ( and my eyelids for the first time in years and years 😊😊)

OMG Amazing difference - u look so great xxx

EllieEmm · 10/05/2023 12:56

Thank you Furniture Friend 😊😊 Still a bit of healing to go . Tbh I think I was over optimistic about the whole healing process , probably because I “googled” far too much and kept reading stories by ladies claiming they were totally healed and looking fabulous after a week ! On the other hand I was a wee bit slower than usual because I had 2 allergic reactions , firstly to the antibiotic cream , and then later to the tiny stitches which were under the eyelid ( I didn’t even know they were there until they flared up ). But that is fairly unusual so don’t let that put you off as it most likely won’t happen to you xx

FurnitureFriend · 10/05/2023 17:13

Well I think you are very brave. I’ve lost my nerve and am going to try some filler first but if that fails I’d definitely go to Dr Joshi judging by your brilliant results. Xxx

EllieEmm · 10/05/2023 22:12

Please keep in touch and let me know how it all goes , and don’t hesitate to contact me if you need any other details , no matter how small . All the very best xx

Ellie, it looks fantastic.
Have you had anything done to the eyebrows, too? they look a bit higher.
