Does anyone have any experience of eyelid surgery with Mr Joshi? Although I can only find good things about him online, there are no reviews or before and afters. TIA

No nothing done to eyebrows . Must just be the photograph . Although they could do with being plucked and tidied up 😂😂

sauvignonplonk1 · 11/05/2023 06:51

Looking fabulous! So pleased for you, thank you for updating us.

PollyPeptide · 11/05/2023 06:57

OMG. You look like two different people. Your eyes look wider which makes you look younger. What a fab job he's done.

Hi ladies . Sincere apologies for the delay . As I mentioned before, my mum has been unwell and was in hospital for a couple of weeks , but home now and back to normal. So , FINALLY , a before and after photo . I am still healing , and I think I have been slower than most because I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic cream , but I can definitely see the benefits ( and my eyelids for the first time in years and years 😊😊)

That is fabulous! Takes years off you.

Vicsta1982 · 28/07/2023 18:12

Wow just seen the photos you posted, amazing result! 🤍

Angelaobi · 25/11/2023 15:35

Hi Ellie,

I've just been reading your thread and wonder if you're still happy to answer questions re Mr Joshi. I saw him for a consultation yesterday but my procedure would be a little more complicated I would love to hear from someone who has actually experienced a blepharoplasty. Thanks Angela

EllieEmm · 26/11/2023 06:53

Hi Angela, no problem at all if you want to ask anything I am more than happy to help
kind regards
E. xx

Hi, I would love to chat to anyone who has had upper eyelid surgery with Mr Naresh Joshi - I think there was a feed about this a while back? I am booked for this Tuesday and he wants to give me a light general anaesthetic for it which surprised me as most people seem to say they had a local anaesthetic and sedation? General anaesthetics always slightly alarm me for something cosmetic like this? If anyone could reassure me that would be great!
Many thanks in advance.

sauvignonplonk1 · 12/01/2024 22:29

@Coops4 I started this thread but have name changed since. Off the back of this thread and the amazing results that have been posted, I'm booked next week with Nick Rhodes at Coppergate in York. I'm beyond excited! Mine is being done under local. I'll post pics as soon as I can!

Coops4 · 12/01/2024 22:34

Thanks for responding - I am wondering why I am not having a local with sedation - maybe he thought I looked rather nervous about it?!! Anyhow, I am sure I am in good hands and it is quite a quick procedure. Would love to see your results and I will post too. Good luck 🤞

Sorry @Coops4 it wasn't this thread it was this one:

sauvignonplonk1 · 12/01/2024 22:39

@Coops4 thank you and the best of luck to you too! Everything I researched about Mr Joshi was good, I believe he has done a lot of work on Katie Piper so you'll be in great hands x

Coops4 · 12/01/2024 22:48

Thanks so much. Excited too but know when the day comes it will be a bit scary! You sound so calm!! All the best with it!

EllieEmm · 13/01/2024 10:57

Hi @Coops4 and Sauvignonplonk1,
delighted to hear you’re all booked up and look forward to hearing how you both get on . I was told I was getting a local with sedation but ended up on the day with a light general ( for some reason I never asked why , but I had expressed nervousness about NOT being put to sleep so that may be why it was decided to knock me out ). I was quite glad in the end actually because it meant I knew nothing about it until I woke up - I can be a bit squeamish . Dying to hear how it goes , but you won’t regret it xxx

Coops4 · 13/01/2024 11:05

Amazing and thanks so much for this has made me feel a lot better and will defs come back hear to let you know how it went!
Very best wishes 🙏

Vicsta1982 · 13/01/2024 13:37

Hi @Coops4 I've met Naresh Joshi a couple of times and really liked him but I've not yet taken the plunge. Like someone else said on this thread, he does a lot of work on Katie Piper and is one of the most experienced oculoplastic surgeons in the industry. He was also recommended to me by Rajov Grover, another highly respected facial cosmetic surgeon and former president of BAAPS so try not to worry (although i know easier said then done!)... I genuinely think you will be in the best hands and wishing the very best of luck xx

Coops4 · 13/01/2024 16:57

This is so kind of you to write and I really appreciate it. I am feeling calmer right now but come Tuesday morning sure I won’t be!! Thank you for your reassuring words though … very kind.
Very best wishes and thanks

Coops4 · 16/01/2024 19:07

@EllieEmm Just to say I am home and it is done! Looking a bit like I’ve done a few rounds with Mike Tyson but actually can easily look at myself and imagine what it will all look like once it is healed and no pain just feels bit weird cos of the glue he puts over the scar for protection. I will be seeing him again in a week to get checked and have any stitches removed and when I am brave enough will try and post some photos. I just wondered roughly how long it took you to feel confidant enough to go out in public without worrying about it showing too much? I am trying to plan my diary but don’t want to go too soon!
Thanks so much for allaying my worries ahead of this!

EllieEmm · 16/01/2024 19:30

Oh well done you , it’s over , you made it ☺️☺️. Yes glue is mucky but it peels off quite quickly . I know what you mean about Mike Tyson but you will be amazed by how quickly the worst of it goes . I think it’s pretty scary for 4, 5 , 6 days , we’re all different , but after a week I was going out for walks and shopping with sunglasses on . If you look through old posts you’ll see that I was a wee bit unlucky because I developed 2 allergies . First off was the antibiotic cream , I was starting to look good by about Day 9 or 10 ( sorry it’s all a bit hazy now ) and I should probably have stopped using it , but I kept going , and straight after that I started to swell again . So just use it for the minimum time he’s told you to , and if all is looking well , stop immediately . Then I developed a wee allergic reaction to the stitches , but that is evidently rare . So without those oddities I would have been ok after 10 days and great after 2-3 weeks . What I would say is that despite all that ,it is amazing how no one actually notices a lot of the side effects . You will already see that the scar is in the natural line above your eye , and a pair of well positioned specs ( I only wear mine for watching tv , but I wore them whenever I was in public and it wasn’t sunny enough to wear sunglasses) really do hide it . As the months have gone by ( I had my surgery in March last year ) I am more and more delighted . It is wonderful to be able to put eyeshadow on without lifting my crepey eyelid up first . I am so pleased for you and I so look forward to seeing your photos xxxx

Coops4 · 17/01/2024 10:02

@EllieEmm thank you so much for this and yes feeling so elated that I have done it and so far so good. It was a bit tricky to sleep well last night trying to be as upright as poss but I managed a bit. Yes, poor you with your infections that sounds like very bad luck - I have just put the antibiotic cream on so fingers crossed but I will look out for any swelling now. I have my follow up appointment booked@ for next Thursday and if I’m not looking too bad will post a photo after that (don’t want to scare anyone!). It’s been so great to be in touch with you about this and lovely to hear that you have been more and more delighted with the results as time goes on. Thank you so much xxxx

Vicsta1982 · 17/01/2024 13:48

@Coops4 so glad to hear you're through the surgery and out the other side! I'm sure it will be onwards and upwards from here..if you do have any wobbly moments they will pass very quickly I'm sure, and before you know it you'll be enjoying your new, fresh eyes! Can't wait to see the results whenever you feel ready to share x

Coops4 · 17/01/2024 20:02

Thanks @Vicsta1982 I am actually way more relaxed about how I look than I thought I would be. Having said that I would not want to be out meeting friends - that can wait!! However, with my reading glasses on it is hard to see what is wrong (if you don’t get too close). So far I have had no pain at all and not had to take anything - they just feel a little bit heavy and weird with the protective glue on them but I also forget I have had anything done when I go through long periods without looking in a mirror!! Once I have the stitches out I will hopefully be up to sharing a photo! X

Angelaobi · 18/01/2024 17:49

I look forward to following your journey. I'm seeing Mr Joshi tomorrow. Its my second appointment but I have a few questions that I'd like to go through before I book the procedure. Wishing you a speedy recovery x

Coops4 · 18/01/2024 21:01

@Angelaobi Hope your appointment goes well. He is very professional and I am sure will answer all of your questions. I first saw him in 2021 so it’s taken me 2 years to pluck up the courage to go through with it! Best, Sarah

Vicsta1982 · 28/02/2024 09:18

@Coops4 just checking in to see how you're healing...I hope you're good! X
