I've been thinking of having my lips done for months. My beauty therapist has said 0.5 mil if I do decide to go for it.

Anyone had there's done? Love it or regret it?

Would it be a waste of money for me? I can possibly get it done on Saturday but I really don't know!

I have them and very glad I did it.You definitely don't need it though yours look good

dontgobaconmyheart · 05/05/2022 17:02

Uo to you of course OP but I'd say don't do it. The first thing I thought when I saw the photo is that you really do have lovely natural lips, the shape is very pretty and they look naturally full which is always going to look better than artificially so IMO!

Neveranynamesleft · 05/05/2022 17:39

Of course she will say yes to you having some work done, it's her job, her business her wages !!

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 05/05/2022 17:46

I agree with everyone else, your lips are beautiful as they are.

If you do go ahead with injectables of any sort, please don’t have them done by a beauty therapist. Go to someone medically trained (experienced nurse, dr or dentist) with a good track record of natural looking work with low incidence of adverse effects.

NellesVilla · 05/05/2022 17:53

It’s a personal thing, but no OP, you don’t need it. How about a lovely mini break, or day at a spa or your hair done? Or dosh towards a nice handbag/hobby/shoes??

LookAtHetGo · 05/05/2022 17:56

I'm glad you're reconsidering OP as your natural lips are absolute perfection.

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually · 05/05/2022 18:00

Leave them alone, seriously Flowers

starlingdarling · 05/05/2022 18:02

I've had tear trough fillers so I'm not adverse to cosmetic work but I really don't think you need lip fillers. You have naturally full lips.

Innocenta · 05/05/2022 18:06

Your lips aren't thin, so I would say no! Don't risk looking overfilled when you have a lovely natural shape.

Scarydinosaurs · 05/05/2022 18:09

There is no reason to do it - don’t mess with what you have as they’re really lovely!

I would honestly spend the money on therapy/gym membership and get your mental health sorted. It’s more freeing than beauty procedures!

Alwayswonderedwhy · 05/05/2022 18:14

I have very thin lips and as much as I dislike them I wouldn't have it done. You have perfect lips so why change them.

LadyJGrey · 05/05/2022 18:15

You have the kind of lips I imagine people go to filler places with a pic of and say ‘I want lips like that please.’!
Obviously, your body your choice, but IMHO, your lips are fab and you absolutely need nothing doing to them! 💋

Sunnytwobridges · 05/05/2022 18:19

You have perfect lips, I wish mine were as full as yours. I would only get them done if they were thin and yours aren't so you shouldn't mess with them. 😊

artisanbread · 05/05/2022 18:32

It is always obvious from the side if not the front. But you already have full lips so I'm not sure what you would be looking for from filler?

Badger1970 · 05/05/2022 18:35

Uh no, don't go for the blow up sex doll look. It's grim.

You have beautiful lips - get a red lippie and wear it with pride.

cantfightthemoonlightt · 05/05/2022 18:40

I get 0.5 once a year in the corners alone as their non existent to my lips ! I'm also a beauty therapist, you'd never ever know I had filler because wow you see some horrendous lips these days, me and my husband literally stand their in awe at some people and laugh they look beyond stupid and painful but you have a lovely plump natural lip so don't ruin what you have naturally

DONT YOU DARE GET SUCKED IN AND MESS WITH THEM!!!! ❤️

VanillaSpiceCandle · 05/05/2022 19:03

Whatever you do, don’t let a beautician do anything. Why would you even consider risking it? I don’t think you should. Get a new lip liner, lipstick and gloss if you want a boost.

SNWannabe · 05/05/2022 19:09

Just wondering why all your changes are about you altering your appearance in some way? Your worth is not your appearance and looks…

WarmWinterSun · 05/05/2022 19:11

Just adding to the others, absolutely not! You have beautiful lips already. No way would I mess with that.

gamerchick · 05/05/2022 19:14

Eh, there's nowt wrong with your lips.

fortysomething8 · 05/05/2022 19:36

I left an abusive marriage and didn't even go to the hairdressers once in that time, I did absolutely nothing for myself so now I'm free it's actually really nice to be able to do this sort of stuff. It's absolutely nothing to do with my looks being about self worth.

I'm in therapy and I'm doing some courses on self esteem as well as many other things. I've got that part covered too! I've never look after myself as well as I have now.

Personally I think lip fillers look pretty awful, because they don’t make your lips look more plump, they just turn up the top edge of them which gives that telltale look

there have been loads of threads on it over the years where people post their “no one can tell I’ve had it done” pics and they are universally all bad and it’s obvious they have had them done

your top lip looks nice and plump. Leave them alone, they look good as they are

That turned up look is only one style of filler. Many many people have them deeper into the main body of the lip. Doesn't result in that turned up look and you really would not know

dumdumduuuummmmm · 05/05/2022 19:54

I don't think there is anything remotely fake looking about these

And the new lips look way better here

There’s lots of misinformation on this thread.

If the lip is turned up under the nose they have been overdone (unless you want that look)

I’ve never seen anyone with fillers that looks good you mean you only notice people who have obviously over-filled lips. You don’t notice all the people that have just had a small plump up.

lips with filler look hard and don’t move Filler uses Hyaluronic acid so it’s just more of what is in your lips already. That’s why it eventually dissolves.

I have a very thin top lip and had fillers. Not even my mum noticed organically but they look much better and I feel better. So less judgement needed on this thread.

i don’t think you need fillers Op as your lips are very plump
