Dh has a birthday coming up and he wants some nice new T-shirts and shirts. His are all old and awful. Where do you recommend I look?

He’s only early 30s (not that it should matter!)

My DH gets a lot of tees, shirts and sweatshirts etc from Sunspel. They do really nice quality basics.

TollgateDebs · 03/05/2022 08:59

Uniqlo and Tu for t-shirts, casual shirts.

Imabouttoexplode · 03/05/2022 09:02

All saints and Hugo Boss mainly.

NightmareSlashDelightful · 03/05/2022 09:03

Ron Dorff is great -- Swedish brand with a very good eye for understated detail. Otherwise Sunspel, Reiss, Asket and Uniqlo.

stickygotstuck · 03/05/2022 09:04

Can I jump in and ask, where is particularly good for longer length tops? T-shirts are always halfway up DH's back! (6'4" with a long back)

Asket (not Arket, totally different company) -- they make long-length t-shirts. Not cheap but they last ages.

Try a website called 2tall for tall but not big mens clothing. Got husbands wedding suit and shirt from there

BangtanLove · 03/05/2022 09:24

Massimo Dutti. Dh is tall (6'4") and slim, a large from there fits him well. Good for jumpers and shirts. He also likes Reiss and Hugo Boss.

stickygotstuck · 03/05/2022 11:17

Thank you, Nightmare, Dirinking & Bangtan!

mizzo · 03/05/2022 11:39

The nineties mostly!

SoggyPaper · 03/05/2022 11:45

Allsaints.

They’re mostly shades of murk.

VioletRose91 · 03/05/2022 11:48

Mainly Ralph Lauren, Hugo boss, Zara, Massimo Dutti and Reiss.

Tbh he has nicer clothes than me.

Neverreturntoathread · 03/05/2022 11:50

Johewis website has zillions

Fatface / white stuff are usually good

However a lot of the above seem boring to me this year and actually DH preferred the t shirts I found on Amazon like these www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B071NVPLKT?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title&th=1

Carhartt

KittyWithoutAName · 03/05/2022 11:54

A lot of designer stuff from Depop second hand mostly. Burberry, Gucci, Maharishi, heron Preston?? Many I have no idea about as I don't wear the like.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 03/05/2022 12:37

Zara, H&M, M&S, plus a lot of band t-shirts bought at gigs or from the artist’s own website.

Carbis · 03/05/2022 13:05

He used to get everything, and I mean everything, from Ted Baker. Now he’s been through their whole range it’s All saints, Lyle & Scott, Reiss, Paul Smith, Hugo Boss.

MrsJBaptiste · 03/05/2022 13:06

Next, H&M, River Island

starlingdarling · 03/05/2022 13:31

It used to be Next but he recently got quite a few t shirts from Rapanui rapanuiclothing.com

evilharpy · 03/05/2022 14:08

Mine likes Uniqlo for jeans, random places for t shirts but does have a few novelty type ones from Qwertee and some from All Saints, Hush and Zara, jumpers and hoodies usually from TK Maxx, trainers from Adidas. He dresses very casual and doesn't own anything smart

caringcarer · 03/05/2022 15:40

My DH just sticks to M&S as he likes them longer as well. Occasionally he will venture to John Lewis but not often. I wish he would vary it more but at least they wash well.

My tall dh gets all his clothes from jacamo.

Simonjt · 03/05/2022 15:46

Balenciaga do some really nice (but plain) tops, I’m an odd shape (thick neck) and they fit really well, unlike most mens t-shirts they actually have a shape.

Leftbutcameback · 03/05/2022 15:50

Mine likes Superdry for t-shirts and shirts (I like their polos)
