Tinted moisturiser

Has anyone got a recommendation for tinted moisturiser rather than foundation for the summer please. I'm very fair so something that comes in varying shades would be perfect. Thank you

I’m fair too - the Boots No 7 one is (I’ve found) better and less “orange” than the more expensive brands. I think they’ve renamed it to Shield and Defend or something like that now? I think it’s about £12.

WimpoleHat · 02/05/2022 10:05

(It has varying shades - I buy “fair”.)

NARS

Findahouse21 · 02/05/2022 10:50

Thank you both

Milk sunshine skin tint, rare beauty tinted moisturiser

Theworldisquiethere · 02/05/2022 10:57

I got one from Superdrug that works well for me, I think the brand is ‘gosh’

Am also very fair and I’m two weeks into using ‘No 7 Hydra Luminous Aqua Release Skin Perfector’ to give it its full title. The lightest colour. It’s pretty good on me.

I used the really cheap Nivea one for years before trying the Dead Sea Magik one in the H&B Beauty advent calendar a few years ago. Nearly at the end of my tube and I can't see it on the H&B website now, out of stock on the DSM website so hope its not being discontinued as its perfect for me.

I use Eborian BB creme in the lightest shade. I find the CC creme in the same shade does oxidise more.

I've also been using this, it's very light but somehow evens out my complexion. Very impressed with it.

Trinny De-Stress. It somehow manages to disappear into nothing on the skin but make my skin look slightly blurred at the same time. I've seen lots of good reviews of the Rose Inc and Rare Beauty ones too.

hamdden12 · 02/05/2022 14:51

Nars, lots of different shades rather than the usual light, medium, deep.

Sniffypete · 02/05/2022 14:51

I love bareminerals complexion rescue.

StatisticallyChallenged · 02/05/2022 14:52

NARS here too - I'm very fair and cool (pinkish) toned, the Terre Neuve works well for me.

HMG107 · 02/05/2022 14:53

I’ve just started using NARS. It’s ok but I apply it lightly and it still feels heavy on my skin

ZuliKyanLarsFoz · 02/05/2022 15:17

I absolutely love the Clarins one

LightningAndRainbows · 02/05/2022 15:38

Don't be lured by chantecaille..total waste of money

Sodie · 02/05/2022 15:59

Marcelle golden glow illuminator

SaintVal · 02/05/2022 16:07

Watching with interest as I've yet to find one. I spent £70 on Chantecaille and I don't think it does anything. Gutted 🙈

I bought it with a 20% discount and still think it's a waste of money

I tried the No7 one, but I found it just went into my pores and made them look worse, I took it back, should I have tried a primer under it, I usely use spf as my primer, as I don't like to add to many layers.

The Eborian CC cream oxidized horrendously on me which is a shame as it looks lovely on other people. I might try and get a sample of the BB cream.

I've just started using Smashbox Halo tinted moisturiser and I love it. I look like myself, but with more of a glow. Haven't touched my normal foundation for two weeks, it now feels too heavy. Halo has SPF in it too, although I still put factor 40 SPF on before applying the tinted moisturiser.

wonderspread · 02/05/2022 17:54

Laura Mercier is a classic. I used the original years back, then went through various other foundations, BBs etc because I get carried away trying thing 😁 Went back to Laura Mercier recently (it’s now called Natural Skin Perfector, I went with the oily skin version but there’s also another one). Remembered straight away why I used to only use LM tinted moisturiser!

For me, it’s the right amount of coverage - light, it’s there, it’s nice, gives me a lift and evens out, but it is light. Some are just too heavy to be called a tinted moisturiser. Colour match also good for me, I’m very fair with neutral undertones and use 0N1 Petal.

CircesLion · 02/05/2022 17:54

Doh - I also wasted money on the Chantecaille!

It just disappears into the skin, there’s nothing tinted about it. I can’t remember which IG account recommended it now but I was cursing them for days!

I’m hooked on Erborian BB for spring/summer. It’s just the right amount of coverage and feels really light. Not many shades though.

As above, the CC definitely changed colour on my skin once applied, which is a shame as the initial colour was a bang on match!
