It's true handlemecarefully - I am a total wimp (But people help me with my luggage on/off trains so there is some compensation)

I'm sure there are other compensations too (like looking wonderful in most off the peg clothes)

I'm a size 6 and have real problems finding clothes on the racks let alone in the sales

i was size 8 until sometime last year when they appeared to have changed the sizes again and i have to admit defeat and buy 6's in trousers and skirts. Am mortified. Proof that the sizes keep changing is that i have ancient black trousers in my wardrobe with size 12 on the label...some slightly newer (thus just 'old')with 10's, recent with 8's...get the picture? And 'tis true, you can only get size 6 & 8 around christmas. In the shops that don't think their image will be ruined by selling it

God, I'm 5.6 and weighed 8.12 pre kids and now weigh a stone more, so nowhere near even my old 8

i am a size 8 (not 6!), am 5'7 and weigh just over 8 stone

ditto muppet, i'm 5'7 and 8 and a tiny bit stone. aim to be 9st... bring on the middle age whatever-it-is.
all my mums friends patted my arm when i was about 5 months pg each time and said "nice to see you're putting a bit of weight on luv"

Handlemecarefully off the peg clothes don't fit that well actually, because manufacturers assume that size 6 = no shape, whereas I have quite big norks for my size and a definite waist. Vintage clothes fit and suit me better.

Me dinny? I think it is a bit yes, but I don't believe BMI is very accurate. I have a v small frame. My SIL, who has quite a sturdy frame, lost a lot of weight once and looked awful even though she was a supposedly healthy BMI.

I was a size 4-6 until ds and could never ever ever find anything to fit me, sale or not. Did all my shopping abroad, where they had smaller sizes.

This has me PMSL. I am honestly no looker but I did look fairly foxy in a bikini pre-DS. I'm still about the same size now but my bikini days are over (unless I stand up absolutely straight my stomach sags like a pricked balloon). Damn that 3 weeks overdue pregnancy

I'm not overweight but I think I am rather entirely un-sexy looking. I mean no real redeeming features. Sometimes think I should lose weight so at least I can be 'skinny' which is an improvement on 'blando'.

Someone on here is 5'6 and 5'7 and just on 8 stone and are a size 6.
I am 5'6/5'7 and normally just under 8 stome or dead on and I am normally a 10 (8 in Next cos sizes are mahoosive)

mosschops I am 5'4 and was just under 8 stone and was a size 4/6 (well US size 0 which is about UK size 4 - I could never find UK size 4/6 clothes and size 8 were waaay too big on me)
