I keep on top of it but my god it’s awful. My eye lids and under eyes are SO dry. Normally vitamin e oil will hit the spot when it’s bad but it’s doing nothing. I have to of course be careful what I use as it is very close to my eye ball. Please can anyone recommend something?? I do get eczema but do not have a current flare up??

Are you a detmatologist? Because applying steroid cream to eczema is exactly what they would tell you to do.

And if you read the leaflet that comes with the creams you will see long term use around the eyes can cause glaucoma. The leaflet says not to put on the face never mind near the eyes. I know because when our GP prescribed for me DC door dry skin around the eyes. I was horrified but I recognised it was only for short term use so only used the minimum for my D.C. then switched to the product I linked to. It did work but took some time to completely heal.

Hello. I had eczema in childhood. Now I get occasional flare ups only. Eyes super sensitive. Never got on with eye creams. When my eyes are dry or scaly I’ve used a range of things already mentioned here.

I’m v wary of using hydrocortisone/steroid cream near my eyes. I have used eumovate though when desperate. Diluted with a bit of aqueous cream, applied sparingly with a cotton bud in the evening. I’ve made the mistake (many times!) of slathering on creams before going to bed and waking up with swollen eyes. So for me less is always more.

I use dermalogica smoothing cream over my face and eyelids and then I smear some vaseline, as others have said, under my eyes to seal in the mositure. This works really well for me.

I also had good results with the Bach Rescue Remedy cream round my eyes years ago.

I need to be super careful with mascara and eye make up remover. I now only use Maybelline Collosal Waterproof mascara and Clinique Take the Day off (liquid one), Decleor or the No 7 one you shake up to mix the liquids.

I hope it clears up for you x
