Age limit - max age for this dress?

I know we should wear what we want no matter what our age is, but humour me - what's the max age to wear this dress?

Age limit - max age for this dress?

I work with a very petite 50 something who would look great in it. My 15yo Dd is too long and gangly for it. IMO it's a dress for a small slim woman of any age (although I think it could do with heels so maybe not 90+)

NotMeNoNo · 23/04/2022 13:26

I'd wear it at any age, I suit short neat unfrilly dresses.
Theres a fine line in not looking schoolgirlish , I wouldn't be pairing it with ankle socks and Mary Janes put it that way.

midsomermurderess · 23/04/2022 13:26

I'd say mid-20s. It's a bit jejune. By then, I think you should be on your way to developing your own look.

Whatiswrongwithmyknee · 23/04/2022 13:41

I'd think it was a young child's dress though ultimately if someone is wearing something which covers up their privates and does not smell, it's really up to them!

Sickoffamilydrama · 23/04/2022 17:50

If you like it then buy it, it even has pockets.

BettyNotVeronica · 23/04/2022 18:02

I'm 43 and I'd wear it

ArabeI · 23/04/2022 18:09

It reminds me of one of my old winter school uniforms (though different colour). So I can understand why people have chosen young age limits.

I think it could be worn at any age, as possibly have said, if styled correctly. There's something I don't like about the fit, though, and I can't put my finger on what it is.

ArabeI · 23/04/2022 18:10

pps have said!

FogniniFog · 23/04/2022 18:11

Depends on whether you can carry it off

I imagine Vivienne Westwood wearing it and she's in her 80s now

SlimToNone · 23/04/2022 18:11

I'm almost 40 and would wear that.

Riverlee · 23/04/2022 18:33

I immediately pictured a work colleague in it. She’s 58.

I’d wear it with black opaque and brogues or chunky loafers. I’m 53. Much more interesting imo than the ubiquitous coated leggings, heels and blazer.

Floisme · 23/04/2022 20:04

None unless there’s a picture of a Disney Princess on the back. It won’t be to everyone’s taste or look the same on everyone but what does? I don’t avoid flat red shoes because I had some when I was 5. Life is short, why spend it in a box?

AnyCakeButBattenburg · 23/04/2022 20:05

About 6. It's hideous.

Bravo! Grin

soulinablackberrypie · 24/04/2022 14:20

I know 60-somethings who would look great (and feel comfortable) in that, and 20-somethings who it wouldn't suit at all. It's not your age, it's whether it fits with your style.

milkyaqua · 24/04/2022 14:29
Kittykatmacbill · 24/04/2022 17:02

I could never wear it as I am short and have big shoulders and boobs, so I would look dreadful in it. If I wasn’t so ‘blessed’ I would wear it and I am 42.

I don’t think it’s age limited dress it’s a body shape limited one.

LoveSpringDaffs · 24/04/2022 17:09

...it's a little girls style/length/look

waltzingparrot · 24/04/2022 17:57

Mid twenties

MurderAtTheBeautyPageant · 24/04/2022 17:59

It's the above the knee element for me that makes it look very girlish. I'd feel like a prat in it and I'm in my early 40s.
