Which crossbody? Help me choose.

Help me decide between these three bags- for casual days out and things like pop concerts etc to go with jeans and stuff, I'm 49 and still fancy myself as a bit rock chick but I aren't really, more girl next door.

They all seem expensive to me, but don't look it. Sorry. 1st is horrid. The other 2 are okay.

I like both of the mark Jacobs, I think I would pick third if I was choosing.

I'd welcome other suggestions if you have seen something better! I was looking for an original design rather than a 'designer look-a-like' which is probably why these are expensive- but would definitely love to see what everyone else likes.

If I had to choose, the least bad is probably the first bag, though I don't like the pattern or finish. The other two have logos on the front. The prominent Marc Jacobs logo on the third bag is the most obvious and worst.

So what makes a bag worth the money?

I know I could buy a genuine leather bag for less but that's always the case. People spend 1000s on bags, why are these particular ones not worth the money?

I prefer the MJ snapshot bags without the lines.

There’s some nice Chloe crossbody bags about at the moment.

I have the Marc Jacobs snapshot bag in in a brighter colour way but you can get it in black and I personally prefer it to the style of the snapshot to the Moto shot and soft box.
Assuming the dimensions of those two are the same as the snapshot it’s worth pointing out that it holds very little. Literally iPhone 11 in back zip pocket and small card purse, small keys and lippy/balm in the front. This is good for me as I limit the amount of crap I carry around day to day and I don’t feel weighed down by it.
the bag itself is seemingly indestructible, it’s very firm and the leather is coated in something. I’ve tripped over on the street twice and whilst my tights and coat were both damaged the bag was fine. This is a reason why I would consider it ahead of your two MJ choices.

These look cheap, probably because of the prominent logos. Though that's just my personal taste.

The Marc Jacobs ones are probably excellent quality but the logos make them look cheap. It probably didn't help that I first thought Michael Kors.

I have no idea if they are good brands but see lots of Michael Kors bags around here and I assumed it was a bit like a posh bag from TK Max

I have a ted baker one I've had for about 9 years that is only just starting to wear out and is still usable. That was almost £200. I'd say that is worth the money but some don't like ted baker. Out of the three I'd say the last one.

No2 is lovely. Good size, not too branded, classic.

My personal feeling is that the Sunny is too big for a cross body, No2 is better and No3 does not look at all rock chick and is a bit naff tbh. But I reckon you could find something nicer with no logos for less money.

I wouldn't pay so much personally. No 1 is awful imo but No 2 is OK. No 3 is a complete turn off with the Marc Jacobs name embossed so boldly.

Thanks for the suggestion- I like the coach one- that was also on my list of possibilities but just thought the Marc Jacobs motoshot just had a bit more personality.

I also looked at this Whistles one- In my opinion though you can tell it's not a designer expensive bag although reasonable quality.

I like number 2.. but I only like silver hardware so that's why.

No 2 is the nicest I think. But I agree with pps about the logo. I think you could find something really nice at that price point.

Number 2 is the nicest of those three. I have a Marc Jacobs cross body bag (pic attached - I hope), but it’s old now. Love VW bags myself. For a cheaper option Pom Pom London do cross body bags in various colours too.

Obviously what I think is nice isn't in MN world because these are what I thought were nice when I searched at this price point.
