Swimwear that actually covers you?!

Whyyyy do all swimming costumes need to leave your bits hanging out??

I'm not tall (5"5ish) but every costume I try on the body is far too short.

Please tell me where I should be looking?

Size 16 if it make a difference

I have this exact problem as I have a long body

I find the “tall” ranges work much better as there is just more fabric!

I think I will have to try this...never occurred to me before as I'm far from tall 🤣

I wear ones you can zip up at the back - search for high neck.

I bought one from next last week long tall sally range , really good fit £30

There is a trend for bum cheek showing swimwear ATM! I also can't wear it really.

I like an idea I saw on here yesterday which was to wear a bikini top with mens swim shorts! I seriously might. Some of them even have zip pockets which sounds amazing.

Agree, I bet they are way comfier than bikini bottoms too.

You can also get boyshort costumes - Speedo do them - or one of my swim friends wears women's swim shorts over her costume

Google modesty swimwear. That's what I wear :) as I don't want my bits showing :D

A couple of years ago a got a lovely costume from M&S. It holds everything in and has a little skirt to cover your thighs. Might be worth a look there.

I wear tankinis, but buy long swim shorts rather than wear the short ones that come with the set. It is more expensive, but it is a combination that suits me. Easy if you need the loo, and easy to manage if you have to change under a towel on the beach. I have a few tankini tops that all go with black shorts.

I have this problem, I'm long-bodied and absolutely hate having to keep pulling my costume down over my bum.

Speedo ones with short legs are nice and comfy and there's a range of styles, maybe not the most glam designs ever but ok, like this

I also have some Boden swim shorts which are for women and quite short, but have an inner layer and looser outer layer so good coverage, and look great with a bikini or tankini top. You can see them here but they seem to be discontinued, but there will be some on ebay.

I just wear a normal speedo swim suit and then some board shorts over the top.

Primark had a couple of long sleeved swimsuits, and some high neck ones too. I didn’t see any shorts though.

Amazon has good range of swimwear, all different styles.

Have you tried sizing up, or a tankini

This is going to sound ridiculous but I still wear my maternity swimming costume, it’s got good coverage and you wouldn’t know it’s maternity - I’m a size 8 and the tummy bit has tags you pull in

I wear a Speedo which basically has shorts. Totally fab, looks like shit but better than having to deal with my bikini line.

It's weird how most men just wear shorts (they could wear budgie smugglers....but they're budgie smugglers and look horrific) but as women, it's somehow expected we will wear ridiculously small pieces of material and that's the norm.

I can't bear tiny swimwear. In U.K. pools I wear speedo costumes that have shorts rather than high leg. In hot country's I would wear a tankini with shorts. I have no desire to have my high leg / bum cheek on show - we don't expect men to!
