Hello! Please can anyone recommend any leggings that are good for running and that don’t fall down when running! TIA

If you’ve got the budget for it, sweaty Betty powers are easily the best. They’re the only ones I wear for running now. I buy them in the sale.

nearlyspringyay · 17/04/2022 15:13

Fabletics powerhold, get the two for £24 offer and then cancel.

Ponks · 17/04/2022 15:14

The Sweaty Betty powers are great but my absolute best pair of running leggings are from Marks and Spencer.

AuntieStella · 17/04/2022 15:19

Sweaty Betty are overpriced for theirnquality.

Try Ronhill - they're classics for a reason (£16 - 30 ish)

Or Decathlon for best VFM by a mile - excellent quality, and they all have drawstrings (and good pockets) £8 and upwards

If you want to spend more, then New Balance (about £30) are very good

MrsDooDaa · 17/04/2022 15:21

New Balance with drawstrings. Also size up.

jowly · 17/04/2022 15:24

Decathlon and M&S seconded, the ones with drawstrings

0ellenbrody0 · 17/04/2022 15:27

I like Tikiboo leggings, they have a really wide waist band that holds them in place well. They also have a large zipped pocket for a phone.

countdowntonap · 17/04/2022 15:31

Oysho compression leggings. Approx £40. I own 4 pairs and wear them to run and race in.

thestorm · 17/04/2022 15:32

Tikiboo are fantastic. They hold up well, have a decent size pocket and last really well.

erhsla14 · 17/04/2022 15:32

amazon. top search, about £25.

samlovesdilys · 17/04/2022 15:35

Another vote for M&S drawstring!!

Calphurnia · 17/04/2022 15:38

M&S Good Move, with drawstring. Also have pockets big enough to hold a smartphone 👍
Funky patterns, range of leg lengths, and not £££

purplemunkey · 17/04/2022 15:39

I wear Nike and have never had any problems. Usually get a decent pair for £40-60 in Nike outlet, or somewhere like Sports Direct

ZuluWarrior · 17/04/2022 15:44

Another vote for Ronhill. The tie waist is the secret for folk like me - no waist to speak of Blush.

Seniorandjunior · 17/04/2022 15:55

I like sweaty Betty. They are expensive and I was loathe to give in but having spent at least sweaty Betty money over the years on irritating fall down leggings I bit the bullet. Yip, they stay up. The only ones to have ever stayed up on me. I like the power leggings in cooler weather, zero gravity in the summer. Don’t size up.
M&S have the handy draw string which does help keep the up but Sweaty Betty fabric is much nicer imo.

BangingOn · 17/04/2022 16:00

Kit Change are expensive but very very good.

Gherkingreen · 17/04/2022 16:05

Matalan leggings are excellent. Wide waistband, long, squat proof, wash really well, stay up when running or doing high impact stuff, and about £15 a pair.

ChilledMocha · 17/04/2022 16:05

Sweaty Betty. You can get discount on first order or if advertised their legging quiz (probably find it googling as well).

WorryMcGee · 17/04/2022 16:07

Sweaty Betty Power leggings! The only ones I’ve ever had that don’t fall down (and I’ve tried them allll) I’m usually a small, but have been wearing M and L throughout pregnancy (stopped running at 36 weeks) and they didn’t fall down then either!

dizzydizzydizzy · 17/04/2022 16:14

Ronhill. Fantastic quality - had mine years and years and still going strong.

HouseofHolbein · 17/04/2022 16:17

Flanci. Tie waist zip pocket on back large pocket on thighs to securely fit a phone or gels etc. All lengths and styles 👍

CMOTDibbler · 17/04/2022 16:22

For me, it has to have a tie waist, anything else will just wriggle down. This moment I am wearing a pair of Flanci ones, I do have SB though I have to say I am not as in love with them as I feel I should for the price. My current favourite pair are from Tyna which are high waisted and have enough space for my curvy bum (not large all round, curvy muscle bum)

HawthornLantern · 17/04/2022 16:26

Another vote for Sweaty Betty. I run in the “All Day” range which used to be called “Comfort” - the fabric is very soft to the touch. I’ve managed to lose nearly 3 stone wearing the same size of legging with no risk of them falling down or feeling uncomfortable. I’m pretty sure I could safely buy a size smaller now but as they are not falling off, why spend the money?

Keep an eye on the SB sales - there can be some very good bargains. There’s a 25% spring sale on right now on some lines. But end of season can be even better.

ambereeree · 17/04/2022 18:24

I've tried loads recently and find aybl good. I didn't try sweatty betty as I can't justify spending that much money on leggings.

LittleMissA · 17/04/2022 18:25

Tikiboo are my favourite and they have 30% off this weekend. I run in them with my phone/keys etc in the back pocket and they're fab!
