Decent knickers

Hello all, please could you recommend decent knickers that actually fit over your bottom but aren't granny pants? Used to go to M&S but the quality got worse. Next don't fit that well. Thanks Smile

If second sainsbury's Tu.

spongedog · 18/04/2022 20:23

Used to be an M&S pants wearer! But was really happy with my recent purchase from Tu - Sainsbury - spring colours. I have tried high leg and full. The full are a bit too old granny for me. I was a size 10 M&S, choose size 12 Tu and fits perfectly. But I was not looking for lace, black, or all white.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 18/04/2022 20:26

Quite a few for the TU ones here. I have never had much success with clothes from sainsburys but will try them. I usually wear high leg normally and midi for bed Smile

I get John Lewis brand - sometimes found in Waitrose

Decent quality and comfy

The gusset on some knickers is so narrow I don't know how anyone fits their flaps in 🤣

Asda pants fit me really well, I also wear the full lace top ones, no escaping bits and no wedgies either!

This is the best thing I've read today 😂 Primark did some called Yoga pants, pack of 3, comfiest ever. I'm still trying to find something similar!

Knickers in bed Shock Shock Shock

Whatever brand they are, that's just wrong.

StarlightLady · 19/04/2022 09:30

The only time l’d wear knickers in bed is during a heavy period.

GettingStuffed · 19/04/2022 12:57

M&Co , and oddballs although I hate the website

Lavapalaver · 19/04/2022 13:01

Sainsburys tu are now horrible :(
Has anyone recommending them bought them in the last weeks?
They’ve changed. They now have really inflexible nasty elastic that comes unstitched from the garment, and the fabric thin and see through…
They used to be the best, they’re now probably the worst pants .

@teaandtoastwithmarmite I can't bear pyjamas! I wear very thin cotton nighties. And absolutely definitely no knickers.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 19/04/2022 22:02

@Dickopf I wear shorts and vest pj's in summer but still like pjs. Funny how different we all are Smile

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 19/04/2022 22:03

And my mum has only ever worn a nightie and said to me 'you don't wear knickers in bed do you?!' Grin

I only like wearing cotton knickers, and struggle to find actual cotton rather than “cotton rich”

I buy most of my knickers now from Uniqlo, they do a sort of high leg and a high waisted short , both cover my size 16 bum And tum well and stay put all day.

You have to buy them singulary so not the cheapest option, but they wash well and are good quality

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 20/04/2022 21:07

Thanks @Waterlemon they sound good too

I wear knickers in bed too @teaandtoastwithmarmite . I don't know why. It just feels somehow more secure.

pictish · 21/04/2022 08:03

Good thread. I recently bought two packs of briefs from Next and was most disappointed to find that the fabric started coming away from the waistband after only a couple of months. All have had to be chucked out. They weren’t cheap either. Avoid.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 22/04/2022 08:44

Thanks @pictish I have next ones now that seem ok but will not be buying any more. Glad this thread is helpful Smile

Hello! I came back to say I bit the bullet and treated myself (3 pairs for 20 quid!) to some sloggi- tai and shorts all around and they both fit lovely and some innersy also fit lovely. The sloggi felt less 'granny' and very comfy. Thanks all!
