There no pic or link Easter Smile

Alwayspaintyournails · 15/04/2022 20:17

Cross post. If you like it go for it.
When I saw the pic I thought more 70ish in all honesty.

ginislife · 15/04/2022 20:17

It depends on your style. For me it's a bit meh

TheWorstClass · 15/04/2022 20:19

You'll look best in the clothes you love and feel confident and comfortable in. Buy it and love wearing it! I wouldn't wear it, but I'm not you - I'm sure people think my wardrobe is not fashionable enough, but I wear what I love, regardless of whether someone else would wear it. For what it's worth, I like the look of the tunic, and can imagine it looking great on the right person. I couldn't make it work, hence I wouldn't wear it, but if it's your thing, then definitely buy it! Be confident in your choices :) you'll be happier when getting dressed each day if you're confident in your own style.

dammit88 · 15/04/2022 20:20

I think it’s nice

Kitkat151 · 15/04/2022 20:23

I wouldn’t wear it...,but I wear more tight fitting tops...I probably have a completely different shape to you....it’s not truly awful....but if you want me to be honest....it looks like a cheap supermarket top

kimfox · 15/04/2022 20:23

I don't really like it (the print as opposed to the style)

Pinkybike · 15/04/2022 20:25

Thank you, I like it but it's not what I'd normally wear, as in its quite long but I think I'll get it and if nothing else it'll do for a cover up at the beach !!

I wouldn’t wear it, if you like it you buy it op

shinynewapple22 · 15/04/2022 21:22

I'm also mid 50s, size 16. I'm not keen on the pattern to be honest. But I tend to be a very plain dresser . I would certainly wear a long linen tunic/shirt with cropped jeans but would go for a plain colour or a thin stripe eg blue/white. That's just me though - I'm probably a bit boring !

DramaAlpaca · 15/04/2022 23:09

I'm the same age as you. Sorry, but I wouldn't wear that. I don't like the pattern and I don't wear tunics.

But it's you who'll be wearing it, so if you like it go for it.

IStandWithMaya · 15/04/2022 23:12

Pretty colours and style, but the pattern of the fabric is a bit too 'old woman' for me.

1forAll74 · 16/04/2022 04:28

It's not my type of thing, but the pattern is pretty awful too.

TottersBlankly · 16/04/2022 05:08

Given that oversized shirts are very fashionable at the moment I don’t think you’d need to search hard to find something nicer; more contemporary cut, less garish pattern. But if you like it …

I don’t understand the two embarrassed face emojis after cropped jeans, sandals.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 16/04/2022 07:09

If the colour and style suit you then buy it - the same with any item.

Pinkybike · 16/04/2022 07:14

Totters
I didn't mean to put those faces there, I was typing on my phone and did it accidentally.
I spend most of my summer in cropped jeans and sandals!

Grin That’s a relief!

D’you mind if I suggest some possible alternative linen shirts?

And two linen pieces that might fall into the sales pretty soon. (If you don’t like them, someone else might!)

Oh, the £32.99 shirt is Zara. Price suggests it’s probably a bit thinner than others, though.

Kingharoldshairstyle · 16/04/2022 07:39

I’m the same age as you and I wouldn’t wear it either, it’s quite, frumpy and shapeless.

HuntingoftheSnark · 16/04/2022 07:41

I'm 52 and I really like it and would wear it.

ThatshallotBaby · 16/04/2022 07:43

Like your suggestions Totters.
@Pinkybike do YOU feel like you in it?
It’s not my cup of tea, but that’s completely irrelevant if you love it. I’m your age and have lost my way a bit style wise after lockdown crisp and dip snacking Smile, but it’s really about what you feel good in.

PuppyMonkey · 16/04/2022 07:43

I sometimes think with tunics, it can be a fine line between looking nice and looking like you’re turning up in a housecoat to do the cleaning. Sorry but I think OP pic looks a little bit like the latter. I’m mid 50s.

If it helps I wouldn’t wear any of those other linen things PP has posted either.Grin
