Looking in to ski. & me and it's coming up £24.99 I'm guessing they have increased their prices as before I'm sure it was £19.99 or do I need a referral code for the lower price? If so would anybody be happy to post one? Thank you

@Okkie

How are you getting on ?
I missed it off last night because my friend kept telling me my face looked red. I haven't told her I'm using it but thought I'd leave it off to see what my face was like. I will do it tonight .

Okkie · 24/04/2022 20:01

Hi @MayBeee it's been going well thanks for asking. No dryness so far but my face is very oily I wonder if that's why?

I've used two pumps every night, waited then moisturised. Last night I didn't wait long enough and when I put on my snail mucin my face felt tingly but no issues.

Today I put factor 30 on went out and when I came back my face looked a bit pink so I put some factor 50 on and all ok now

Have you been in the sun at all? Have you been putting factor 50 on?

OP posts:
MayBeee · 24/04/2022 20:07

@Okkie

Yes I used to use f30 but have been using f50 . I'm not a sun worshipper so don't spend lots of time soaking up the rays , but went out this afternoon for a walk that was about 1hour . I've put my dermatica on about an hour ago and just opened up one of my beauty pie capsules and put that on , will moisturize before bed.
I slept with Vaseline on my face last night !

Okkie · 24/04/2022 20:29

Yes @MayBeee I didn't even go in the sun today I was in the car for about 20 mins! Will only be wearing f50 from now on. Summer could be a struggle! The capsule sounds like a good idea. I have been using la roch posay balm and read cerave moisturiser is good also. The Vaseline sounds like a good idea I've only just found out about that - slugging?!

OP posts:
MayBeee · 24/04/2022 21:15

Yes it's a whole new learning curve !

Okkie · 24/04/2022 22:31

For sure! My skin most certainly feels softer and is much smoother too - almost shiny?

Feeling a little bit sore and dry around the chin today so going to give it a miss tonight. Could have been the sun yesterday or continued use but will have a break this eve

MayBeee · 25/04/2022 17:54

I've been walking today for about 3 hours out sunscreen on 3 times before going out , then put on some foundation which had 30spf , face isn't red so hopefully ok. See if you can put some Vaseline on for bed .

Okkie · 25/04/2022 21:18

Yes I'm going to do that now. Face is little tight and v dry now. Just waiting for oil to soak in

How are you getting on @MayBeee ? I had two nights off as my chin was a bit flaky. I think now looking back it could have possibly been because I didn't wait long enough for my face to dry

I then started back on one pump and now on two pumps and all good. Been v good with my sun cream application. No redness no dryness still feeling very smooth and fresh

Something that has changed is how my foundation sits/looks on my face. I use Clinique even better foundation and now my skin is so smooth and tight it kind of just sits on my face and doesn't really soak in. May make a new thread about that

@Okkie

Hello I'm glad it seems to be going well.
The first night I did 2 pumps and that bought the redness out , I've gone down to 1 pump , and then have managed 1.5 ( that works well ) did 2 last night.
I use simple cleanser , then Avenno , then Bondi Sands 50spf during the day , if I'm going out Trinny bff cream ( has 30 spf ) then a lighter foundation on top of the Bondi Sands but maybe an hour later .
Then at night simple , avenno , a beauty pie oil capsule , then moisturiser ( even tried Vaseline a few nights )
All That seems to be going well. What % of Tret are you on ? Mine is 0.015 / 4% Nicacoime ( sp ?) next month 0.025 , I think they double up again the following month and then leave you on that as maintenance.

Okkie · 01/05/2022 11:31

Hey @MayBeee here is my prescription:

Month 1: Tretinoin 0.015% / Niacinamide 4% / Azelaic Acid 4%
Month 2: Tretinoin 0.025% / Niacinamide 4% / Azelaic Acid 4%
Month 3: Tretinoin 0.05% / Niacinamide 4% / Azelaic Acid 4%
Months 4+: Tretinoin 0.05% / Niacinamide 4% / Azelaic Acid 4%

Unsure when I will get my next one though as I haven't been using every night so surely I won't need one in four weeks. Only annoying thing about dermatica is that I cannot see when it runs out

It may be the cream and sun cream I am using and will have a look at that currently using la Roche posay anthelios. Will buy some bondi sands once I run out. For cream I have been using la Roche posay baulm and rosehip oil at night

MayBeee · 01/05/2022 12:22

@Okkie

My prescription is the same as yours minus the Azelaic Acid . Can I ask what that addition does ?

Okkie · 01/05/2022 15:33

Honestly I've no idea it must have been due to my answered. Have searched the internet and one site says it kills the bacteria that causes acne (which I do occasionally suffer from) and another says when used with treat can lighten the skin. I don't have hyperpigmentation but my skin tone is uneven may be that?

OP posts:
MayBeee · 01/05/2022 15:43

@Okkie

that must be the only difference between us then .

MayBeee · 11/05/2022 12:40

@Okkie

Hi , how's it going for you ?
I'm due my 2nd delivery any day now , so will be upping to 0.025% so hopefully my skin will tolerate that.
Have you noticed any change in your skin? I don't think I have other than it feels much softer which could be because of upping skin routine / creams / care by loads lol .
I read a good idea / suggestion . If you haven't ran out of your first cream then alternate between the 2 to give your skin time to get used to higher % .

Okkie · 16/05/2022 13:54

Hey @MayBeee long time no speak! Sorry for the delay it's been such a busy week. I'm getting on well thank you, my skin like yours is super soft. I've just looked at my progress pictures that I uploaded on the website last month and my skin most certainly does look a bit more even toned. My skin does have a kind of waxy feel to it - unsure if that sound odd? That may be to do with the la roche posay balm i've been using? Thankfully no trouble with sunburn as I have been very good putting factor 50 on. I have just received my second dose today so thanks for the tip to alternate between the two. I will speak more on your other thread because I thought it was odd we were talking about dermatica on a skin& me thread!!
