Looking in to ski. & me and it's coming up £24.99 I'm guessing they have increased their prices as before I'm sure it was £19.99 or do I need a referral code for the lower price? If so would anybody be happy to post one? Thank you

Actually sorry just reread your post and you have put 0.005 not 0.05 so your dose is decreasing - think you should check that

Did you purchase from ski. & me or dermatica?

MayBeee · 19/04/2022 21:56

Dramatics

Month 1: Tretinoin 0.015% / Niacinamide 4% lotion

Month 2: Tretinoin 0.025% / Niacinamide 4% lotion

Month 3: Tretinoin 0.05% / Niacinamide 4% lotion

Months 4+: Tretinoin 0.05% / Niacinamide 4% lotion

Tretinoin is a retinoid that improves fine and coarse wrinkles

Okkie · 19/04/2022 22:00

0.05 is higher than 0.025 so your dose is increasing. Have you started yet or waiting for delivery like me?

MayBeee · 19/04/2022 22:05

Still waiting for delivery.

Okkie · 20/04/2022 10:07

Me too I'll let you know how I get on

@Okkie

mine arrived this morning.

doadee · 20/04/2022 15:23

Just moisturise lots, I didn't have any proper dryness till I went up to 0.1 and even then I can control with lots of hydration.

Hope you like it!

Okkie · 20/04/2022 19:04

@MayBeee just seen mine has been shipped today so not long now

@doadee is that strength from dermatica?

OP posts:
doadeer · 21/04/2022 13:51

Yes from Dermatica. Been using them about 8 months now I think

doadeer · 21/04/2022 13:52

I started on 0.25, then month 3 I went to 0.5 then month 6 0.1

They key is finding the best products to compliment, I think I've got my routine nailed now and I'm chuffed

MayBeee · 21/04/2022 19:37

First morning woke up to a very red face . Did all the suggested and waited after first application , then moisturiser . This morning , cleansed ( Liz Earle ) then moisturiser , then sun screen indoors , and again before going out even put a hat on when sat having a coffee outdoors !

Okkie · 21/04/2022 19:51

What else are you using @doadeer ? I am using cerave hydrating cleanser, snail mucin and cerave moisursing balm + la roche posay suncream

oh no @MayBeee ! hopefully it settles down soon - did you use one or two pumps? I received mine today and put on two pumps earlier - wish I had just used one now I've read your post!

OP posts:
MayBeee · 21/04/2022 21:24

It was 2 pumps because first one , I wasn't quite sure if I got a good dose as took a few pumps to get it going and 2nd pump was a very generous one !
it's not painful / sore at all , I'm just a bit pink but has called down now.
I'll report back tomorrow.Smile

MayBeee · 21/04/2022 21:26

We are talking about Dermatica , if anyone is tempted , a discount code for you to take a nosy .

I buy three tubes of tret from an online pharmacy. Costs about £60 in total and lasts me a year. £25/month seems steep. But I can see it's probably the sensible way to go if you're new to prescription strength retin.

MayBeee · 21/04/2022 21:44

@UhtredsLatestPaganHussy

Can I ask which online one do you use ?

MayBeee · 21/04/2022 21:46

@UhtredsLatestPaganHussy

And what strength ?

Floydthebarber · 21/04/2022 21:47

Yeah, I've been using s&m for around 9 months and noticed last time I logged in it had gone up. I only use it around 3 times a week so I pause my subscription a lot. If there was an email sent about the price increase I missed it.

I like the very low dose though. I went back down after they increased the tret and the lowest dose suits my skin.

doadeer · 22/04/2022 07:05

I use an oil cleanser, I like Medik8 or Then I Met You.
Sometimes I use a water based Cleanser if I've worn makeup

I use 3 pumps of Tret (Dermatica) for face and neck

I wait a couple of minutes (longer than that ny face starts to feel dry)

I use a Beauty Pie ceramide serum capsule.

I use La Roche Posay moisturiser, the blue one, if I'm very dry I use the Baume.

I then use a generous slug of The Ordinary Squalene oil

I do this a couple hours before bed so it all sinks in.

Then I apply a lip mask.

In the morning I don't cleanse, I use Medik8 Vitamin C, masses of sun cream then the Erborian CC cream and that's me done.

MayBeee · 22/04/2022 18:36

Can my face feel softer after just 2 days of use ?

Floydthebarber · 22/04/2022 20:29

If you start using any type of retinol, your face might feel worse after two days. Most people get some dryness and redness to begin with. Retinols really are a long game.

MrOllivander · 22/04/2022 20:39

Definitely a long game. I'm using skin and me and have been for 2 years now!
Don't use it every night if you start to get dry/flaky/irritated
Make sure to apply on dry skin as on damp/wet skin it can cause more irritation

Okkie · 23/04/2022 10:47

Thank you @doadeer. I love hearing others routine then having a look at what they use and if it would be good for me.

@MayBeee my skin definitely felt softer after the first night! My make up looked so lovely the next day too. I did smother it with cerave balm though. Today not dry but not as smooth but I did use less balm. Will also use some oil drops tonight too- didnt want to incorporate too much into my routine too quickly and overwhelm. No redness so far fingers crossed

Would be interested in buying the retinol from the chemist in future as @UhtredsLatestPaganHussy does but would like to build up to chemist strength before I do.
