Has anyone actually had regular success with Stitchfix?

I had five boxes from Stitch Fix last year, didn’t keep anything from any of them.

To be fair they refunded a couple of the charges because their stylist just hadn’t listened to what I wanted, but otherwise it was pretty disastrous.

The first two boxes were full of tunic tops and waterfall cardigans. I had to spell it out for them that these things don’t suit me as I’m a bit fat (size 18). I said I didn’t need any striped tops, jeans or trainers at first, and that’s what they sent!

A couple of boxes in a row I said I needed tan coloured flats, even sent them links to ones I liked; they said they had none.

So I cancelled all the boxes and have just given them a second chance, almost a year later. I asked for tan flats (again), smart navy/black trousers suitable for work and a navy blue blazer style jacket.

They sent…
A pink boxy jumper
Navy cropped, wide leg trousers with a fabric belt (so not smart and not suitable for work)
A long sleeved black jumpsuit with a red pattern - nice but completely unsuitable for summer.
A pair of ugly Kurt Geiger mules (these: www.elcorteingles.com/en/womens-fashion/A26192167-kurt-geiger-womens-tan-leather-mules/#)
A quite nice blazer, but it was red.

It’s all gone back.
I’m now convinced they don’t listen to what you say in the notes. I do the spinner thing most days to give them ideas of what I like, but the problem when they show you an outfit is that you might like one part of it but hate the rest, so there’s a danger that if you click yes they send you the bit you didn’t like!

If you have success with Stitch Fix…. how?!

@Fallulah

I do always look at the preview and usually say no to all of it! Maybe I’m just fussy. I think there’s definitely an element of them struggling with larger sizes too. I’ve generally found the quality ok - I get sent a lot of Hobbs, Boden, etc. Its just that some of it is so ugly! 😂
I've honestly been really surprised that I've really liked all of it so far (with some bits I totally love) - I'm really picky over clothes and struggle to find stuff I like so this is unusual for me - I am going to have to rein myself in though & go to a box every two months shortly

I’ve had three boxes and have kept half from two and got rid of everything from the third.

I seem to really suit the Editors Cut range so keep asking for more from that, but only seem to get a couple of items (normally the ones I keep). I’ve asked for more transitional, smart casual spring things this month so I’ll probs cancel if they get it really wrong.

I've been given a free box offer to try, I'm debating whether to do so or not, is it alot of hassle to send stuff back, is the box really big (I don't drive. long walk to the post office)

Another one whose boxes got worse over time. I gave up after 6 or 7.

It’s a free return and they include a sticker so that part is easy.
I would say the box is slightly bigger than the box that you get reams of photocopying paper in.

I get at least one maxi skirt every single time. I now have three in my wardrobe I hope I get to wear them l. If I reject things in my preview they actually email me and ask what Im looking for. I generally keep two out of the five. Im a good 14/16. The shoes have all been a big fail.
