I had five boxes from Stitch Fix last year, didn’t keep anything from any of them.
To be fair they refunded a couple of the charges because their stylist just hadn’t listened to what I wanted, but otherwise it was pretty disastrous.
The first two boxes were full of tunic tops and waterfall cardigans. I had to spell it out for them that these things don’t suit me as I’m a bit fat (size 18). I said I didn’t need any striped tops, jeans or trainers at first, and that’s what they sent!
A couple of boxes in a row I said I needed tan coloured flats, even sent them links to ones I liked; they said they had none.
So I cancelled all the boxes and have just given them a second chance, almost a year later. I asked for tan flats (again), smart navy/black trousers suitable for work and a navy blue blazer style jacket.
They sent…
A pink boxy jumper
Navy cropped, wide leg trousers with a fabric belt (so not smart and not suitable for work)
A long sleeved black jumpsuit with a red pattern - nice but completely unsuitable for summer.
A pair of ugly Kurt Geiger mules (these: www.elcorteingles.com/en/womens-fashion/A26192167-kurt-geiger-womens-tan-leather-mules/#)
A quite nice blazer, but it was red.
It’s all gone back.
I’m now convinced they don’t listen to what you say in the notes. I do the spinner thing most days to give them ideas of what I like, but the problem when they show you an outfit is that you might like one part of it but hate the rest, so there’s a danger that if you click yes they send you the bit you didn’t like!
If you have success with Stitch Fix…. how?!
